Leads the global CargillNow (ServiceNow) platform strategy, architecture, engineering, delivery, operations, and continuous improvement. Serves as the senior technical leader and platform owner responsible for platform stability, scalability, security, integrations, governance, engineering standards, and delivery outcomes across global business functions. Partners with executive stakeholders, product teams, architects, engineers, and strategic implementation partners to deliver large-scale enterprise transformations and operational excellence.
Key Accountabilities
- PLATFORM STRATEGY & ARCHITECTURE: Define and maintain the long-term technical roadmap, architecture standards, platform governance model, and engineering practices for the ServiceNow platform.
- LARGE-SCALE GLOBAL IMPLEMENTATIONS: Lead enterprise-wide platform transformations and deployments across multiple regions, business functions, and business units while ensuring standardization and adoption of platform best practices.
- TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP: Provide technical direction and oversight for platform engineering teams, solution architects, developers, administrators, and implementation partners.
- PARTNER MANAGEMENT: Lead technical engagement with ServiceNow and strategic systems integrators and consulting partners. Review designs, challenge assumptions, enforce engineering standards, and ensure delivery quality.
- AUTOMATION & PLATFORM ENGINEERING: Drive adoption of automation, CI/CD pipelines, platform engineering principles, DevOps practices, and modern software engineering methodologies.
- ENTERPRISE INTEGRATION: Oversee design and governance of enterprise integrations, APIs, workflow automation, event-driven architectures, and platform extensibility patterns.
- OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE: Own platform performance, availability, resiliency, monitoring, observability, upgrade strategy, technical debt reduction, and operational maturity.
- INCIDENT & PROBLEM MANAGEMENT: Provide executive leadership for major incidents, systemic issue resolution, root cause analysis, and service restoration activities.
- TALENT DEVELOPMENT: Build, mentor, and develop high-performing global engineering teams while establishing technical career paths, succession plans, and engineering communities of practice.
- EXECUTIVE COLLABORATION: Influence directors, senior directors, vice presidents, and executive leadership on platform strategy, investments, risks, and technology decisions.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of technology engineering experience.
- 8+ years of platform engineering or enterprise application platform experience.
- Experience serving as a director-level technical leader, principal engineer, chief engineer, lead architect, or platform owner.
- Demonstrated leadership of large global implementations for a Fortune 500 company, global systems integrator, or major technology provider.
- Experience leading complex ServiceNow implementations across multiple modules and business functions.
- Experience managing technical delivery performed by strategic consulting partners and implementation vendors.
- Experience establishing global engineering operating models, governance processes, and platform support structures.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
