The Software Engineer Manager for Digital Solutions, sets goals and objectives for the achievement of operational results for the team responsible for developing and delivering software projects while meeting quality standards and deadlines by hands on and leadership across solution architecture, software engineering, data, integrations, and AI-enabled capabilities.
This job oversees the software engineering team to deliver against project planning and prioritization, coordinating with cross functional teams and allocating resources effectively to achieve optimal efficiency. This job also leads the implementation of best in class industry standards and suggests continuous improvement options for the development process.
Key Accountabilities
Technical Guidance: Leads design and development of high-quality solutions through clean, maintainable code, prototypes, and capability building.
Project Management: Oversees planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and resource alignment.
Quality Assurance: Ensures application quality and performance via testing, code reviews, and adherence to industry standards.
Process Improvement: Drives continuous improvement initiatives and implements standards to enhance development and operational excellence.
Collaboration: Partners with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prioritize work, and deliver business-aligned outcomes.
Documentation: Leads creation and maintenance of comprehensive technical and deployment documentation.
Technical Support: Provides leadership in troubleshooting and resolving application issues to minimize downtime.
Team Management: Manages and develops team members through clear expectations, feedback, coaching, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/related field or equivalent practical experience.
Strong experience in software engineering, solution design, and delivering scalable, secure enterprise applications.
Solid understanding of core engineering fundamentals (system design, APIs, integrations, testing, CI/CD, and operations).
Knowledge of data architecture, data flows, and integration with analytical/operational data platforms.
Proven ability to lead technical decisions, collaborate cross-functionally, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders (including code reviews and mentoring).
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in tech leadership roles (Tech Lead/Solution Architect) within complex enterprise environments and microservices-based architectures.
Expertise in modern architectural patterns (DDD, event-driven systems) and building reusable, scalable platforms/services.Hands-on experience with enterprise data platforms, analytics solutions, and data product design.
Exposure to AI/ML and Generative AI (LLMs, RAG, prompt design) with understanding of responsible AI practices and governance.
Familiarity with DevSecOps, SRE, observability, Agile delivery, and ability to coach teams and drive strong engineering culture.
