Job Family Definition:
- Directs and leads a staff responsible for overseeing one or more sales operations areas, including sales support, sales processing, sales operations, account operations, and sales compensation operations.
- Develops strategies and performance plans to support a culture of customer, partner, and sales experience and process quality within their organization.
- Consults and interacts with corporate, business, and function sales leadership to achieve desired business revenue and order performance results.
- Responsible for design and implementation of sales operations ( Global OM ) tools, systems, processes and solutions, including strategies, communication, analytics and training. Ensures sales operations are aligned with overall business objectives in order to balance operational efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
Management Level Definition:
Leads a large or broad strategic , high impact , function/department within a multifaceted organization. Responsible for operational success, strategic alignment and integration of activities with other major organizational functions. Responsible for one or more recognized professional disciplines.
Fully accountable for the success of the designated function or department.
( Transformation , P&C , Projects , Control tower for Global OM -Influences strategy and sets policy and direction.
Owns a significant number of measurable functional, operational and strategic goals or priorities.
Assumes responsibility for the successful implementation of business plans in a defined area of responsibility.
Contributes to the overall strategic definition of a function with strong business acumen.
Acts as a key advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic direction of the business. Typically reports to VP.
Responsibilities:
- Directs a team of high-level individual contributors and managers across multiple job families within the sales operations function that typically support operational or strategic activities (see examples under MG1).
- Balances spend across multiple budgets within department.
- Responsible for talent management and succession planning; ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes.
- Develops overall sales operations policies and goals in consultation with senior management.
- Recognizes conflicting priorities and proposes solutions to senior management.
- Advises on planning for future state organizational structure. M and A , New capabilities , AI , Transformation.
Education and Experience Required:
- First-level university degree required; advanced university degree preferred.
- Typically 18+ years of experience in a business-related function, preferably sales, finance, or accounting
- Master's degree in Management, prior knowledge of Lean , Six Sigma , Consultation , transformation will be an added advantage
- Experienced in managing large teams and/or organizations.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Superior communication skills includes verbal, written, and presentation forms; negotiation, and influence skills. Mastery in English and local language as well as other languages as required.
- Advanced finance skills and ability to budget.
- Ability to set, measure, and manage multiple teams' performance.
- Exceptional financial and business acumen; in-depth business and industry knowledge.
- Strong leadership and staff development and engagement skills and ability to build partnerships across various functions.
