The Role

Role Purpose:

The purpose of the DComm Supplier Catalogue Coordinator to manage and optimise the supplier catalogue by ensuring the accuracy and quality of the product catalogue. This role leverages analytical skills to critically analyse data and identify discrepancies in product information and catalogue. Additionally, this role communicates effectively with suppliers, ensuring that they understand the catalogue enrichment standards and encouraging the adoption of the supplier portal. Central to this role is working collaboratively with external suppliers to drive the enrichment of product data, including descriptions, images, and attributes for e-commerce channels, ensuring that customers have an enhanced digital shopping experience by accessing a comprehensive, accurate, and easily navigable catalogue.

Role Description:

1. Efficient Supplier Catalogue Management:

· Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to ensure the timely and accurate enrichment of product data.

· Regularly review and update product descriptions, images, and attributes to maintain a high-quality catalogue.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers to facilitate smooth communication and cooperation.

· Uphold catalogue standards to ensure product information remains accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose.

· Provide guidance and support to help suppliers meet catalogue enrichment governance requirements and standards.

· Monitor and evaluate catalogue quality through regular audits, quality metrics, and performance tracking, identifying issues and recommending corrective actions to continuously improve the accuracy, consistency, and overall effectiveness of the digital catalogue.

2. Supplier Portal Adoption:

· Promote the use of our supplier portal as the primary platform for submitting product data.

· Train and assist suppliers in using the portal effectively to streamline data input.

· Execute quality assurance of all product information being submitted by supplier and other 3rd Parties.

· Conduct regular audits of product data to ensure accuracy and consistency.

· Promptly identify, resolve, and escalate catalogue discrepancies, quality concerns, or related issues.

· Stay up to date with the business Data Enrichment Strategy and ensure all changes are implemented and communicated to suppliers or 3rd party providers.

· Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for enhancing the quality and completeness of product information.

3. Data Enrichment and Continuous Improvement

· Stay informed of business data enrichment strategies, catalogue governance requirements, and digital commerce best practices.

· Communicate catalogue-related changes, standards, and requirements to suppliers and relevant stakeholders.

· Analyse catalogue and product data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

· Contribute to initiatives that improve the quality, completeness, and customer relevance of product information.


Qualifications and Experience:

· Degree or diploma in business, Marketing, E-commerce, Catalogue Management, or related field – (essential)

· +2 years’ experience in e-commerce catalogue management or supplier/external stakeholder coordination role or similar, with knowledge of catalogue management practices, (such as product data enrichment) and experience working with cross-functional teams and suppliers – (essential)

· Proficient in MS Office applications – (essential)

· Proficient in using technology platforms such as product information or catalogue management systems, supplier portals – (desirable)

· Analytical thinker and problem solver - able to critically analyse data and identify discrepancies in product information and catalogue management practices. Also, able to develop and implement solutions to improve catalogue quality and completeness.

· Attention to detail and quality assurance - ability to review and update product descriptions, images, and attributes to maintain a high-quality catalogue. Also, able to conduct regular audits of product data to ensure accuracy and consistency.

· Collaborative partnering - Builds meaningful and sound relationships with suppliers to achieve business objectives. Open, honest and direct and comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback. Thinks and acts both independently as well as collaboratively.

· Effective communication skills - able to clearly and succinctly communicate with suppliers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and accurate enrichment of product data and adherence to catalogue enrichment standards.

· Time management, planning and operational efficiency - able to prioritise a high volume of tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced unpredictable environment. Someone who can spread themselves across multiple tasks simultaneously by working smartly, efficiently, and effectively. Organized with strong time, delivery, and planning management.

· Adapting and responding to change - adjusts to a fast paced, changing environment; tolerates ambiguity; adapts interpersonal style to suit different people or situations.

· Staying up to date with both business and digital trends and insights.
