Tasks and Qualifications:This is What you Will Do in This Role:
You will have multiple responsibilities, using prescribed guidelines and policies which include, but are not limited to:
Electrical (HW) Design - With mentorship from more senior engineers.
- Interprets design input information to produce simple control systems designs.
- Select and placement of electrical and controls components in conveyor system ensuring accurate functioning. (Photoeyes, I/O Blocks, Beacon Lights, Control Stations, Gateways, VFDs, etc).
- Builds Electrical Layouts and Schematic Drawings using appropriate CAD tools.
- Performs FLA, Power Drop, Cable Length, and other calculations ensuring designs proper functioning and compliance with Dematic and Industrial Standards.
- Designs of Industrial Networks following both Dematic and Industrial standards (Ethernet, ProfiBus/ProfiNet, ASi, DCAN, etc).
- Design simple conveyor controls software using programming tools such as AB Logix Designer, Siemens TIA Portal/Step 7, etc.
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) parameters configuration according to specific applications.
- Creation of Embedded Conveyor Controllers (ECCs) configuration and parameters files.
- Attendance and material preparation for Software Technical Reviews.
- Creation of Conveyor System Emulation Models for further testing.
What we are looking for:
- 0 to 2 years of experience in a related field and demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above.
- Mechatronic Engineer Degree or related
- Basic Experience in the engineering work environment (school projects or internships acceptable).
- Basic knowledge and/or understanding in:
- Applied knowledge of PLC software (Siemens, ABB, Bechoff).
- Applied knowledge of Electrical Technical Drawing.
- Applied knowledge of Industrial Network configuration (ProfiNet, ASi, CAN).
- Applied Knowledge of automation systems.
