Job Family Definition
Partners with the business to ensure capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically aligned to maximize return on investment. Acts as a highly technical accounting specialist, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards (GAAP), and strong internal controls.
Owns end-to-end accounting oversight for complex areas, with primary responsibility over legal contingencies (labor, tax, and civil litigation), including interpretation and application of corporate accounting policies. Works closely with legal teams to ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance with internal and external requirements.
Continuously reviews and interprets updates to corporate accounting pronouncements, assessing impacts across financial statements and communicating implications to relevant stakeholders. Acts as a key liaison with global corporate accounting teams.
Supports financial planning processes, including forecasting and variance analysis (with emphasis on FX impacts), while also contributing to cross-functional initiatives such as M&A, audits, and process improvements.
Drives accuracy, transparency, and consistency in financial reporting, representing financial results to global stakeholders.

Applies advanced and highly specialized accounting expertise to solve complex business issues. Recognized as a senior individual contributor and subject matter expert, operating with a high degree of autonomy.

Responsibilities
Own the full accounting control of legal contingencies (labor, tax, and civil), ensuring accurate recognition, measurement, and disclosure.
Partner closely with legal teams to define appropriate accounting treatments and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
Review and interpret quarterly updates to corporate accounting pronouncements, assessing impacts and communicating changes to relevant areas.
Act as the primary point of contact with corporate accounting teams for litigation-related topics.
Prepare and deliver financial reporting and presentations to global stakeholders.
Support forecasting activities, including FX analysis and variance narratives.
Support the Controller in Balance Sheet Review (BSR) and Country Finance Review (CFR).
Review account reconciliations and support issue resolution with controllership and quality teams.
Analyze accounting discrepancies (“fallouts”) identified during the close process.
Manage accounting and financial control of bank guarantees, including amortizations and non-automated transactions.
Support internal and external audits.
Contribute to M&A and cross-functional initiatives as needed.
Identify and implement process improvements, including opportunities for automation and data analysis.
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred.
Strong and proven accounting background (essential).
Significant experience in accounting/finance roles, preferably in complex and multinational environments.
Experience dealing with legal contingencies and technical accounting topics is highly desirable.
Fluent English (ability to communicate effectively with global teams).
Experience in the technology sector is preferred, but not mandatory.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills.
Advanced Excel; automation/data analytics (e.g., SQL, Python, Power BI) is a plus.
High autonomy, ownership, and ability to manage priorities under pressure.
