Job Description SummaryThe Consulting Director is responsible for customer-facing consulting, program design, operational transformation, and enterprise project leadership for major healthcare institutions in Japan. The role oversees the Consulting Team, including Project Managers, Analysts, and Data Integrators. The Consulting Director partners closely with Sales and the Solution Director’s Development/PMO teams and holds joint responsibility for P&L management to ensure business growth, financial performance, and value-based delivery outcomes.

Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities1. Customer Needs Assessment & Diagnostic Leadership

• Lead diagnostic assessments for large healthcare institutions, identifying operational, financial, and clinical challenges.

• Conduct workflow analysis, interviews, and data-driven evaluations to define improvement opportunities.

2. Consulting Program Design & Business Case Development

• Develop transformation roadmaps, workflow redesign plans, and enterprise-level program structures.

• Create financial and operational business cases that support customer decision-making and solution formation.

3. Project Management (PM) Leadership

• Oversee consulting-led project planning, stakeholder communication, and delivery governance.

• Ensure alignment with customer expectations and manage cross-functional coordination.

4. Analyst & Data Integrator Team Leadership

• Supervise analysis activities including operational KPIs, financial models, and workflow data assessments.

• Guide Data Integrators in data collection design and outcome measurement frameworks.

5. Execution of Customer Improvement Programs

• Lead long-term customer transformation initiatives and governance structures.

• Facilitate executive steering committees and ensure measurable business and clinical improvements.

6. P&L Management with Sales and Solution Teams

• Partner with Sales to shape opportunities, improve win probability, and define commercial strategy.

• Align with Solution Director to manage costing, resource planning, and delivery scope control.

• Oversee profitability, margins, and financial performance of consulting-driven programs.

7. Cross-functional Alignment with Solution Director

• Translate consulting insights into technical requirements for the Solution Director’s Development and PMO teams.

• Ensure clear scoping, prioritization, and expectation setting for delivery and development teams.

8. Team Leadership & Talent Development

• Recruit, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Analysts, and Data Integrators.

• Establish consulting methodologies, quality standards, and knowledge management systems.

9. Executive Relationship Management

• Maintain strong relationships with hospital executive teams, healthcare networks, and GEHC internal leadership.

• Represent Strategic Growth in enterprise-level discussions and program governance.

10. Compliance & Quality Oversight

• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and internal compliance processes.

• Maintain transparency, repeatability, and quality across all consulting outputs.
