Job Summary & Responsibilities
The Business Development Director role is responsible for driving company growth by expanding Accruit's presence within the title, commercial real estate (CRE), and 1031 exchange markets. Duties include developing and executing strategic business development plans, identifying and building relationships with title companies, CRE firms, brokers, attorneys, and financial professionals, and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing and onboarding. This role is responsible for driving new client acquisition, strengthening strategic partnerships, and contributing to overall revenue growth. Business Development Directors have demonstrated a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to generate new client relationships and revenue opportunities
- Identify, target, and build relationships with title companies, commercial real estate firms, brokers, attorneys, and financial professionals
- Educate prospective clients on Accruit's 1031 exchange services and technology solutions
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing and onboarding
- Leverage industry knowledge to position Accruit as a trusted advisor and preferred Qualified Intermediary
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and build pipeline
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client experience and successful transaction execution
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting within CRM systems
Preferred Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of business development or sales experience within the Title, Commercial Real Estate (CRE), or 1031 exchange industry
- Strong understanding of real estate transactions and/or 1031 exchange fundamentals
- Established network within title companies, real estate brokerage, or related industries preferred
Skills & Abilities:
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a territory
- Experience with CRM tools and sales pipeline management
- CES® (Certified Exchange Specialist) designation or familiarity with 1031 exchange regulations (preferred)
- Experience selling SaaS or technology-enabled solutions within real estate or title industries (preferred)

- This position covers multiple locations: Southern California, Northern California, Pacific Northwest, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Chicago, Texas.
- This is a full-time position with 40+ hours of work expected each week.
Compensation & Benefits
$85,000-$100,000 per year
