As a Business Intelligence Manager Specialist, you will lead the delivery of high-impact data insights supporting Supplier Services team within the Business Service Organization (BSO). You will own the end-to-end BI lifecycle - from scoping and design to delivery and governance - while acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders. At the same time, you will support your team with elevating the standard of BI practice.
This role combines strategic thinking with deep technical expertise. You will drive reporting standardization, lead data-driven initiatives, and shape how the organization uses data to make better informed decisions faster.
This role is based in Billund. No relocation support is offered.
Core responsibilitiesInsight & analytics leadership
Lead the design and delivery of complex analyses across large, multi-source datasets, translating findings into clear, actionable business recommendations
Own the end-to-end reporting lifecycle: creation, maintenance, documentation, improvement, and decommissioning of BI reports and dashboards
Identify business trends proactively and drive insight-led recommendations for process improvement and strategic growth
Define and facilitate prioritization of reporting requirements
Power BI & technical excellence
Architect and maintain advanced interactive dashboards and reports with full Power BI proficiency, including complex semantic models and DAX querying - this is a core requirement of the role
Champion data visualization best practices and enforce consistent standards across the team's BI output
Drive reporting standardization and ensure alignment on definitions, metrics, and governance across the organization
Stakeholder partnership
Act as the primary BI partner for senior stakeholders: facilitate requirements gathering, manage expectations, and deliver outputs that directly inform leadership decisions
Present findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear, compelling, and audience-appropriate manner
Assist in the design and implementation of data-driven strategies that support business growth objectives
Governance, enablement & continuous improvement
Lead training and ongoing support for business users in BI reporting, data governance, and self-service analytics
Serve as a go-to expert for BI best practices, tools, and emerging technologies -continuously raising the bar within the team
AI-powered efficiency
Champion the adoption of AI tools (including LLM-based co-pilots, generative AI assistants, etc.) across the BI team’s workflows, from report and model development and DAX authoring to documentation, QA, and data storytelling
Identify and implement AI-driven efficiencies in recurring BI processes, including automated documentation generation, insight narration, anomaly detection, and report testing, reducing time-to-insight without compromising quality or governance
Define and role-model responsible AI usage within the BI function, establishing guardrails, sharing best practices with the team, and ensuring AI-assisted outputs meet the organization’s data accuracy and governance standards
Contribute to a culture of data literacy across BSO, enabling stakeholders to engage confidently with data
You will join the Service Experience team within BSO - a collaborative environment that spans Business Account Management, Service Management, Business Process Management and Insights Hub. At Manager Specialist level, you are expected to take ownership, operate with a high degree of independence, and bring others along – supporting colleagues and elevating the standard of BI practice across the team.
Do you have what it takes?Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
5 - 7 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a closely related discipline
Expert-level Power BI proficiency, including advanced DAX modelling - non-negotiable for this role
Demonstrated ability to lead BI projects end-to-end, from requirements definition through to delivery and adoption
Strong command of data visualization principles and the ability to translate complex data into executive-ready narratives
Experience partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders, including leadership-level audiences
Excellent communication skills - able to bridge the gap between technical teams and business decision-makers
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and structured thinking skills, with comfort navigating ambiguity
And even better if you also bring;
Experience with the Databricks platform or equivalent cloud data environments
Exposure to BI governance frameworks, data cataloguing, or data product thinking
Proven track record of driving standardization or center-of-excellence-type initiatives within a BI function
Practical experience using AI tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to accelerate BI delivery - including report development, documentation, insight generation, etc.
