Job Description
The BI Analyst is responsible for designing, building, delivering, and maintaining world-class reporting for all areas of the business using Power BI. This role involves modeling data and designing reports, dashboards, and analysis. It uses tools like Power BI, Data Flows, and in some cases SQL Server or Azure Analysis Services. The goal is to create custom visualizations and dashboards.
You will report to the Team Lead - BI & Data Analytics
Main responsibilities:
- Design Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic data models for enterprise use
- Gather business requirements from stakeholders at multiple levels and translate into scalable BI Solutions
- Translate our needs into high-level technical specifications and design
- Develop an understanding of multiple business processes, data sets, and BI deliverables.
- Build and optimize data models using Power Query, DAX, SQL and relational data principles
- Apply best practices in dimensional modeling (star schema) and semantic model design
- Prepare, ingest, cleanse, and maintain data in the data warehouse for efficient delivery to Power BI.
- Work with the Enterprise Analytics team (DA&I) to stay up-to-date with enterprise standards.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile and identify gaps, uncover unmet needs, and work with data engineering and solution architects to create a finished solution.
The Essentials – You Will Have
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business analytics or business intelligence.
- Advanced English
The Preferred – You Might Also Have
- Experience with SQL, relational databases, and dimensional modeling (star schema)
- Experience in Power BI development, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
- Experience working with enterprise data sources (Azure SQL, SQL Server, Databricks)
- Translate our requirements into analytical solutions and applicable insights
- Experience working in data governance-aligned environments
- Experience in Customer Experience business functions especially Customer Success or related teams.
- Working knowledge of BI and data warehouse concepts and terminology.
- Experience building complex reports in Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Experience with analytical programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
- Can while still achieving deadlines.
- Detail-oriented person who is passionate about quality and enthusiastic about new technology.
- Familiarity with basic AI functionality as a resource for modelling and building reports that can be queried by AI
We will give priority consideration to candidates with prior experience specifically using Power BI to build complex, interactive models. You should also have experience publishing Power BI reports to the Power BI service for reporting consumers, and working with Azure SQL Data Warehouse/Azure Synapse.
