Junior Field Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Conduct on-site certification inspections and field evaluations in accordance with UL Solutions requirements and industry standards.
• Review and analyze test results, inspection findings, and production records to verify compliance.
• Apply technical judgment to evaluate variations, determine compliance, and recommend corrective actions.
• Work closely with manufacturers, customers, and regulatory authorities to address technical and certification-related questions.
• Verify the accuracy and calibration of measurement and testing equipment.
• Review production, inspection, and quality assurance processes to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Investigate and document certification mark misuse when applicable.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation of findings and recommendations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process enhancements.
• Promote and communicate the value of UL Solutions' services to customers.
• Perform engineering calculations and technical evaluations across areas such as electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, or related disciplines.
• Manage inspection schedules, travel plans, time reporting, and expense documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline such as:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Engineering Technology
  • Or a similar field
• Recent graduate or up to 1 year of professional experience.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements, standards, and procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel locally to customer sites as needed.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, safety, and compliance.
