You will be assisting them with their luggage and escorting them to their rooms. You will work closely with the front office, concierge, and other departments to ensure guests’ needs are met promptly and professionally. As a Bellman, you’re not just greeting guests upon arrival - you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Responsibilities
  • To report to work punctually and in full uniform, always maintaining a smart and friendly appearance. Ability to be positive at all times and with an “On the Ball” attitude.
  • To handle all kinds of luggage meant for arrivals, departures and storage and ensuring that they are handled with care.
  • To ensure that all arrival luggage is tagged and delivered to guest rooms in the shortest possible time and with care.
  • To present in room orientation to the guest when required.
  • To handle a guest room, change, adhering to set procedures at all times.
  • To assist departing guest with luggage and transportation requirements.
  • To be familiar with the different types of storage available and to ensure proper records are kept for all items             kept in storage for example Short Term, Long Term and items to be refrigerated.
  • To handle group arrivals and departures, adhering to set procedures at all times.
  • To run errands for Guest and Concierge whenever required.
  • To maintain the cleanliness of the Front Lobby, Front Entrance and luggage storage areas at all times.
  • To address guest by name and be familiar with repeat guest taking note of their preferences.
  • To project an image of friendliness and professionalism at all times and to be always ready to provide personalized service to guest.
  • To work closely with Front Office, Car Valets and Doorman in ensuring guest requesting for Bell Services are assisted at all times.
  • To ensure that the Bell Captain, Guest Services Manager and Concierge is well informed about any guest complaints and special requests.
  • To be alert at all times and report any defects in the guestrooms, guest floors and lobby areas to the relevant department.
  • To assist guest in the arranging of Taxis and Limousines.
  • To exercise proper care when maneuvering trolleys around the Hotel.
  • To respond swiftly and appropriately in any Hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • To contribute to the “Hotel Experience” by ensuring that the main Entrance to the Lobby is manned at all times, extending warm greetings of the day to all passing guests.
  • To assist at the Driveway whenever possible in the event of a “Crunch” at the Driveway in order to facilitate smooth traffic flow.
  • To be fully conversant with Core Standards relating to the Department.
  • To be aware of hotel services, Hotel Outlet operation hours, special events and provide directions and general information when required to guest.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by supervisors.

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:

  • Good written and spoken English communication skills to support daily operational and guest service requirements.
  • Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred.
  • Able to work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays, based on operational requirements.
  • Committed to following workplace safety procedures and maintaining an organized work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering service in line with Conrad's brand standards.
