Job Description:
We are looking for an innovative and seasoned leader to spearhead our Business Intelligence (BI) team. The Associate Director of BI will be instrumental in delivering cutting-edge data-driven solutions while nurturing growth and excellence within our practice. This role demands a visionary leader who can seamlessly integrate technical expertise with strategic execution to drive significant impact across the organization supporting the go-to-market functions of Wolters Kluwer's FCC Division.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Guidance
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to BI managers and senior professionals, spanning across BI, data governance & stewardship, and data engineering practices.
- Oversee cross-functional development and implementation of advanced analytical models, data analysis, reporting solutions, and availability of data pipelines.
- Ability to curate visualizations with compelling insights that effectively convey complex analytical findings to drive informed decisions.
Program Delivery, Standards of Practice, and Operations
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of BI programs, ensuring they support the sales center of excellence and go-to-market initiatives.
- Drive innovation in data analysis techniques and BI methodologies to enhance sales strategies and market positioning.
- Provide expert guidance on functional and technical design decisions.
- Manage staffing, budgeting, and planning while ensuring smooth day-to-day execution of initiatives across BI and data management areas of practice.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate collaboration between the BI organization with varying functional and technical teams across the FCC division.
- Act as the primary liaison for BI programs delivered from our Pune location, ensuring they meet the needs of the sales center of excellence.
Performance and Talent Development
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture within the BI team.
- Develop and implement talent management strategies to ensure a robust talent pipeline within the BI team.
- Initiate coaching programs and leadership development initiatives to enhance the capabilities of the BI team.
- Work with functional leaders to establish clear goals and expectations for teams and individuals within the BI team.
- Monitor and assess team performance, providing actionable feedback and guidance.
- Address performance challenges promptly and constructively to maintain high standards within the BI team.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of program delivery experience within a technology function or data and analytics practice area.
- Proven track record of leadership in technology services delivery.
- Understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics operations, particularly in supporting sales and marketing functions.
- Skills:
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate large, diverse teams.
- Expertise in talent acquisition and workforce development.
- Strategic problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Proven ability to collaborate with and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- High competence in using BI applications like PowerBI, Salesforce CRMA, Tableau.
- Acumen of modern data warehousing techniques and industry best practices. Experience with data platforms like Data Bricks and cloud service integrations (Azure, AWS).
