Brown & Brown is seeking an Account Coordinator to join our growing team in Atlanta, GA! 

 

The purpose of the Account Coordinator is to aid and assist the service department with Brown & Brown’s 95% client retention standards through the timely and accurate completion of ongoing eligibility defined as processing of new hires, terminations, qualifying events, open enrollment elections, EDI / API error corrections, and COBRA. Process adds, terminations, renewals within COBRA vendor systems, as well as performing client setup/termination with our preferred vendor partner. Maintain accurate data entry in all Employee Benefit Agency Management systems, upkeep of various department documents. Support the service team with printing projects, and execution of client compliance deliverables. Serve as back-up support for the front desk. 

 

How You Will Contribute: 

  • Operate a personal computer and appropriate software packages. Above average skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Word documents. 

  • Must be responsive to all emails. Communicating client updates every 2 business days unless an extended deadline has been communicated.  

  • Capturing, managing and inputting accurate data into our Benefits Agency. Management (BAM) system(s), as well as external partner’s systems. 

  • Comfortability with various technology and carrier platforms for data extract and entry. 

  • Comfortability with excel for the purpose of manipulating census data. 

  • Support Account Managers with printing presentations and open enrollment materials which may impact ability to work remote on scheduled days during peak renewal seasons. 

  • Assist with team projects. 

 

Licenses & Certifications:  

  • Ability to obtain Life and Health License within 1st month of employment. 

  • Life and Health Licensed (preferred). 

 

Skills & Experience to be Successful: 

  • 1 year of industry and/or professional experience. 

  • High School diploma or equivalent. 

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite. 

  • Exceptional telephone and written demeanor. 

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. 

  • Adaptation and ease of navigation through a variety of systems including: our Agency Management System(s), intranet, carrier, third party administrators, payroll and benefits administration systems. 

  • Proficient knowledge of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machines, etc.).
