Requires strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and knowledge of case management and payer regulations.

The RN Clinical Charge Nurse oversees daily unit operations and safe patient care during an assigned shift. Responsibilities include making patient assignments, coordinating staffing and bed flow, rounding with physicians, reviewing discharges and length of stay, supporting evidence-based practice, mentoring staff, ensuring documentation and regulatory compliance, and promoting interdisciplinary teamwork. Collaborates with leadership, coding teams, clinicians, and executives while maintaining expertise in documentation, coding, regulatory requirements, and clinical terminology.
