Engineering Interns will support drilling, completions, reservoir, production, or facilities projects through design, analysis, optimization, and engineering data evaluation. Responsibilities include preparing reports, well plans, AFEs, and technical documentation; collaborating with land, operations, and finance teams; and identifying ways to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance well performance in an exploration and production environment.

The Data Engineering Intern will build and maintain data pipelines consolidating field, production, land, and financial data. Responsibilities include developing ETL/ELT workflows using Databricks or Snowflake, creating data models for Power BI dashboards, implementing data quality monitoring, documenting processes, and collaborating with analysts, engineers, and business users to deliver reliable data solutions.

Develop and prototype AI solutions across operations, land, accounting, and finance using LLMs and machine learning. Identify use cases, build agentic workflows and MCP integrations, test models for forecasting and predictive maintenance, partner with business users, measure adoption, support responsible AI practices, and train teammates on new tools.

The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience across the full accounting cycle for an operated exploration and production company, including revenue distribution and joint interest billing. The role includes project ownership, process improvement, financial and accounting systems exposure, and collaboration with experienced teams. Interns are expected to be detail-oriented, dependable, self-motivated, comfortable with technology, and proficient in Excel, data analysis, and problem-solving.

Supports budgeting, financial modeling, production forecasting, capital planning, scenario analysis, variance reporting, and management and board reporting. Tracks capital expenditures and AFE activity across drilling and completion programs while partnering with operations, accounting, and land teams to validate data and improve financial insights.

Maintains corporate financial records, prepares journal entries and financial statements, reconciles accounts, supports consolidations, audits, budgeting, forecasting, and SOX controls. Handles oil and gas accounting activities including ARO, DD&A, revenue, JIB, and production accounting. Improves accounting workflows and ensures accurate, compliant reporting.

Manage permitting, reporting, and regulatory compliance for oil & gas operations. Prepare and track agency filings, maintain regulatory records, monitor rule changes, manage permit lifecycles, communicate Conditions of Approval, advise internal teams, liaise with regulators, and respond to inquiries or violations to ensure operational compliance.

Design, deploy, and manage hybrid/multi-cloud Azure and AWS workloads for mission-critical oil & gas systems. Lead migrations, automation (IaC), high-availability and disaster recovery, cost optimization, security and compliance, SCADA/OT integration, incident escalation, and mentor junior engineers while driving infrastructure consolidation and documentation.

Design, implement, maintain, and document enterprise wired/wireless networks. Provide Tier 2/3 troubleshooting, security and compliance (PCI-DSS), performance monitoring, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and cross-team collaboration for infrastructure and cloud connectivity.

Provide FP&A support for upstream capital projects including CapEx planning, forecasting, performance reporting, cross-functional coordination, and sensitivity analysis to inform multi-million-dollar investment decisions.

Lead a financial reporting team to prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; oversee journal entries and reconciliations; develop procedures and workflows; support audits and special projects; set team priorities and liaise with commercial and contract administration groups.

Lead corporate finance modeling, capital structure analysis, and execution of debt and equity financings. Drive long-range planning, capital allocation, covenant compliance, and prepare lender/board materials. Mentor analysts and coordinate cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, and Reservoir Engineering.

Lead and mentor the AP team, resolve escalated invoice and vendor disputes, process high-volume oil & gas invoices and payment runs, support month-end close and audits, and champion AP automation and process improvements to ensure compliance and accuracy.
