The Senior Cloud Engineer designs, manages and optimizes our hybrid IT infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and AWS. You will maintain high-availability workloads for mission-critical oil and gas operations, lead migrations and acquisition integrations, and keep operations secure, compliant and cost-effective.

What you'll own
Cloud Architecture and Operations
- Design, deploy and manage hybrid and multi-cloud workloads across Azure and AWS
- Administer, monitor, patch and tune cloud workloads and backup and recovery
- Architect migrations and re-platforming with minimal downtime
- Lead infrastructure consolidation as we acquire companies
Automation and Reliability
- Automate provisioning and deployment with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Bicep or CloudFormation
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery and business continuity, including failover testing
- Optimize cost and report on infrastructure health, performance and spend
Security and Collaboration
- Maintain security through patching, vulnerability remediation, IAM, segmentation and encryption
- Support SCADA/ICS integration and energy applications with application owners and cybersecurity
- Serve as a senior escalation point and mentor junior engineers
What you bring
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years managing hybrid and multi-cloud environments with strong Azure and AWS proficiency
- 9+ years in IT systems engineering or infrastructure administration
- Deep on-premises infrastructure expertise (Windows and Linux, VMware or Hyper-V, storage, Active Directory)
- Infrastructure as code and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Cloud cost management and FinOps experience
- Willingness to provide occasional after-hours critical support
- U.S. citizenship
Bonus points
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional or similar certifications
- Oil and gas applications (for example W Energy)
- OT/IT convergence, SCADA or ICS security (for example Ignition)
- Located in Oklahoma City or Houston

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years managing hybrid/multi-cloud environments with strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure and AWS
- 9+ years hands-on IT systems engineering or infrastructure administration
- Deep on-prem infrastructure expertise: Windows/Linux server administration, VMware/Hyper-V, SAN/NAS, Active Directory
- Experience designing, deploying, and managing VMs, containers, databases, networking (VPCs/VNets), and identity integration (Entra ID/AD)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep)
- Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Solid networking and security knowledge (VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, IAM, network segmentation, encryption)
- Experience with monitoring, patching, performance tuning, backup/recovery (Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Prometheus, SolarWinds)
- Experience with cloud cost management and FinOps practices
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in regulated industries (energy/oil & gas preferred)
- Proven leadership, communication, incident escalation, root cause analysis, and mentoring skills
- Willingness to perform occasional after-hours critical support
- US Citizen and not require additional work authorization to work in the United States
- Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, or VMware certifications
- Familiarity with oil and gas domain applications (W Energy)
- Knowledge of OT/IT convergence, SCADA systems, or ICS security considerations (Ignition, ACM)
- Resides within the United States (Oklahoma City or Houston preferred)
