Manages the company’s international trade compliance program in a regulated aerospace and defense environment. Oversees import/export compliance, ITAR and EAR requirements, licensing, sanctions screening, customs regulations, audits, reporting, recordkeeping, training, and regulatory change assessments. Partners with engineering, procurement, and program management teams to ensure controlled transactions, components, contracts, shipments, and supply chains comply with U.S. and international trade laws.

Leads qualification, auditing, and performance oversight of aerospace electrical, PCB, and circuit card assembly suppliers. Ensures compliance with AS9100, IPC, and customer requirements; investigates supplier failures and nonconformances; drives 8D, RCCA, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives. Evaluates manufacturing and inspection processes, monitors supplier quality metrics, supports work transfers, and coaches suppliers on high-reliability electronics manufacturing. Requires extensive aerospace supplier quality experience and domestic and international travel of up to 30–50%.

Leads engineering strategy and execution for fuel and proximity sensing product portfolios. Translates business and customer needs into roadmaps, priorities, and delivery plans while ensuring schedule, cost, quality, performance, and regulatory commitments. Oversees product development, redesign, sustainment, testing, validation, risk mitigation, and technical support. Builds engineering capabilities by recruiting, coaching, developing, and retaining talent, while establishing succession plans and a culture of accountability and technical excellence.

Leads multidisciplinary aerospace engineering projects from inception through completion. Develops integrated execution plans, schedules, budgets, risk and opportunity matrices, and project performance reports. Coordinates Systems, Software, Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Quality, Programs, and Supply Chain teams. Tracks cost and schedule performance, addresses execution issues, presents progress to leadership and customers, converts bids into baselined plans, and supports continuous improvement.

Builds and maintains Power BI or Infor Birst reports, dashboards, SQL queries, data models, and Excel financial models. Performs manufacturing cost accounting, variance, margin, inventory, pricing, capacity, and investment analysis. Reconciles BI outputs with ERP and general ledger data, validates data integrity, documents reporting logic, and presents actionable insights to financial and operational leaders. Partners with finance, IT, operations, supply chain, quality, engineering, and program management in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

The Quality Engineer develops aerospace quality systems, leads root-cause analysis and CAPA, supports PFMEA and control planning, monitors quality metrics, and drives continuous improvement. The role also serves as the primary customer quality interface, leading investigations, 8D responses, audits, corrective actions, and customer quality reporting. Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers is central to ensuring regulatory compliance, product reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Serves as the primary contact for assigned customers, creates and verifies orders in SAP, resolves customer inquiries and complaints, maintains interaction records, and coordinates with operations and other departments to fulfill customer requirements. Provides documentation, after-sales support, and customer service while identifying inside sales opportunities with sales representatives. Requires effective prioritization, communication, adherence to procedures, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Ensures compliance with FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Prepares incurred cost submissions, maintains pricing and indirect rates, supports government audits, develops cost allocation methodologies, analyzes variances, and assists with contract pricing. The role also maintains ERP cost segregation, strengthens internal controls, supports timekeeping compliance, and collaborates with program management and contracts teams.

Leads multidisciplinary aerospace engineering and new product introduction projects from proposal through manufacturing transition. Defines scope, deliverables, plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and performance metrics; coordinates Systems, Software, Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Quality, Programs, and Supply Chain teams. Resolves execution issues, presents project performance to leadership and customers, ensures compliance with aerospace standards and customer requirements, and drives continuous improvement.

Lead strategic sourcing and supplier transfer programs for aerospace and defense circuit card assemblies, PCBAs, electronic components, and manufacturing services. Develop dual-source strategies, qualify suppliers, negotiate contracts, drive cost reductions, manage production transitions, support NPI, monitor supplier performance, and mitigate risks involving component availability, obsolescence, geopolitical constraints, and capacity. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program Management while reporting sourcing progress and savings to executives.

Manage negotiation, creation, and administration of commercial and U.S. government contracts (FAR/DFARS/ITAR). Provide contract compliance oversight, proposal/RFP analysis, claims negotiation, customer account management, DCMA/TINA support, data rights and commercial item assertions, and coach staff. Coordinate with procurement, engineering, ITC, and program managers; ensure flow-down, closeouts, and proper handling of customer property.

Support and improve assembly, test, and inspection processes for avionics and aerospace computers. Provide technical production support, troubleshoot component-level failures, lead root cause analysis and corrective actions, train technicians, collaborate with design and suppliers on sustaining production, evaluate and improve test equipment, and drive yield, throughput, capacity, and quality improvements.

Design, simulate, and validate electrical and electromechanical systems for fuels and proximity sensing in aerospace/defense. Develop switching power supplies, perform testing and troubleshooting, create engineering documentation, ensure compliance with EMI/EMC and environmental/airborne hardware standards, and collaborate across disciplines to meet product and quality requirements.

Design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain embedded real-time aerospace/defense software. Collaborate across engineering disciplines, produce bid materials, follow DO-178B/C processes, use requirements and lifecycle tools, and support audits and verification activities.

Lead architecture, integration, and lifecycle development of aerospace systems: derive system requirements, define architectures, perform integration, verification/validation, trade studies, and lead cross-functional engineering teams through deployment.

Develop, document, integrate, and support LabVIEW-based automated test equipment for aerospace products. Create test specifications, verification/validation procedures, debug test software/hardware interactions, support failure investigations, and coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure on-time production and test coverage.
