Support PAHO Member States to strengthen integrated surveillance for influenza, COVID-19, RSV and other respiratory viruses by assessing systems, developing guidance and M&E frameworks, coordinating data consolidation and reporting, delivering training, and producing regional reports and technical materials.

The Advisor, Staff Benefits will lead and manage staff benefits, payroll, pensions, taxation, and health insurance systems, ensuring compliance and efficiency while providing strategic guidance and policy advice.

Lead design and implementation of scalable data architectures, automated ETL, reproducible analytics (R/Python/Git), and interactive dashboards to monitor RIAP2030 and EPI performance. Provide technical assistance to modernize vaccination information systems, develop/maintain PAHOabc and MissVCQI R packages, deliver capacity-building and documentation, and ensure interoperability, CI/CD, and open science standards for regional immunization digital tools.

Provide technical cooperation and coordination for the Bloomberg Data for Health Initiative. Support project planning, monitoring, reporting, and knowledge management; facilitate CRVS, ICD-11, interoperability, and digital health activities; organize workshops and trainings; prepare technical briefs and donor reports; manage documentation, logistics, and travel arrangements; liaise with PAHO country offices, consultants, and partners to ensure timely delivery of deliverables.

Interns will assist PAHO programs through practical work assignments in various fields, contributing to projects related to health and other areas.

Provide GIS and multisector analytic support for PAHO's Health Emergencies unit: develop operational analytic products, adapt training materials, integrate analytics into CEBS workflows, and compile use-case documentation to strengthen country-level analytic capacity and scale PROTECT approaches.
