Develop and productionize machine learning models for industrial process optimization using spectral and multimodal sensor data. Responsibilities include designing experiments, building preprocessing and feature extraction pipelines, monitoring model and sensor drift, detecting anomalies, developing ML infrastructure, and applying chemometrics, hybrid modeling, self-supervised learning, probabilistic reasoning, and time-series techniques.

Works directly with founders to identify, evaluate, launch, and scale new ventures across industries, geographies, partnerships, and customer offerings. Responsibilities include developing business cases, setting milestones, recommending investments, recruiting initial teams, coordinating engineering and commercial leaders, supporting fundraising through financial analysis, and deciding whether to scale, revise, stop, or transition initiatives.

Works directly with company founders on strategic finance, owning the operating model, budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, management reporting, capital allocation, and deployment economics. Leads fundraising preparation, including investor narrative, data room, and diligence, while advancing selected strategic initiatives from business case through launch. Partner with the founders to determine strategic investments and build capabilities supporting growth toward $100M in revenue. Develop operating plans, budgets, hiring decisions, financial models, performance reporting, fundraising materials, and strategic initiatives involving new markets and partnerships. Recruit initial teams and lead initiatives until permanent ownership is established. The role requires analytical judgment, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on execution in a startup environment.

Designs and tests prototype PCBs, sensor systems, mechanical housings, cable harnesses, and embedded integrations. Performs PCB assembly, rework, troubleshooting, board bring-up, and sensor testing using Zephyr RTOS. Develops test strategies, analyzes results, supports field prototypes, and contributes to hardware projects from concept through customer shipment.

Develop Linux-based services, provisioning automation, deployment tooling, industrial protocol integrations, and reliability features for edge computers and factory servers. Support containerized and virtual-machine applications, ML inference workloads, monitoring, logging, recovery, testing, debugging, and technical documentation. Collaborate with senior engineers while owning well-defined platform components.

Design and prototype sensor hardware, including PCBs, mechanical housings, and electromechanical systems for industrial environments. Develop test strategies, collect and analyze sensor data, integrate sensors with Zephyr RTOS platforms, and support field trials. Lead rapid R&D evaluations, product bringup, debugging, fabrication, and cross-functional system development.

Build and improve Laminar Insights, a customer-facing platform for visualizing factory telemetry, ML model decisions, operational trends, and sustainability impact. Collaborate with data science, backend, forward-deployed engineering, customers, and leadership to design, prototype, and ship polished full-stack features. Develop scalable UI components, optimize frontend performance, SQL queries, and backend APIs, and create internal tools that help forward-deployed engineers deliver customer outcomes.

Own and expand a Linux-based edge computing platform for factory-deployed systems. Build bare-metal, virtualized, and containerized infrastructure; deploy ML models and LLMs on edge hardware; integrate with MES and industrial protocols; and develop provisioning, updates, rollback, monitoring, recovery, and security capabilities. The role spans architecture through production deployment and includes cross-functional collaboration, technical leadership, mentoring, code review, and documentation.

Own embedded firmware and signal processing for process-aware industrial sensors. Develop Zephyr-based drivers, integrate detectors, manage ADC acquisition, filtering, calibration, noise rejection, connectivity, OTA updates, and health monitoring. Collaborate with hardware and machine learning teams to productionize sensing methodologies from prototype through deployment. The role requires strong embedded C/C++, analog and signal-chain expertise, testing discipline, and experience with optical or electrical sensing.

Build ML infrastructure and tooling for large-scale model training, evaluation, tracking, deployment, and monitoring. Develop orchestration systems, model registries, automated deployment and continuous-training pipelines, testing environments, and drift detection for edge deployments in manufacturing. Collaborate with ML researchers, data engineers, and software engineers to create scalable, user-friendly research-to-production workflows.

The PLC Integration Engineer will manage the integration of Laminar's edge devices into customer systems, handle networking and PLC connections, troubleshoot issues, and support customer deployments while documenting processes for efficiency and improvement.

Sell Laminar's AI and sensor-based solutions into enterprise CPG accounts end-to-end: prospecting, building VP-level champions, negotiating land-and-expand deals, forecasting pipeline, driving pilots to global rollouts, and articulating ROI for manufacturing use cases.

Embed at Food & Beverage customer sites to deploy Laminar sensor and AI solutions: lead technical discussions, guide installations, integrate with IT/OT (PLC, networking, cloud), validate results, drive pilot signoff, support sales expansion, and provide post-implementation support. Heavy customer-facing, project-focused role with up to 50% travel.

Sell Laminar's AI and sensor-driven solutions into mid-market CPG accounts. Manage full sales cycle from cold outreach to close, build VP-level relationships and champions, identify high-value use cases, justify ROI, coordinate pilots and rollouts with deployment, and drive expansions and renewals.

Owner of full-cycle recruiting for technical and business roles: source proactively, manage high-volume hires, build employer brand and recruiting systems, partner with leaders on hiring and onboarding, and design scalable People Ops infrastructure to drive retention and performance.
