The role involves solving complex problems, diagnosing root causes, owning outcomes end to end, building scalable systems, experimenting with AI, and operating quickly with high candor. No minimum years of experience are required; demonstrated exceptional work and founding or early-team experience are valued.

Handle high-volume inbound calls, emails, texts, and chats from consumers seeking help with collection accounts. Diagnose issues, resolve concerns, take payments, document interactions, and meet customer service, recovery, quality, and efficiency targets. Improve contact-center workflows, communicate caller feedback to internal teams, and follow federal, state, and company compliance requirements while maintaining empathy during sensitive financial conversations.

Own and build January’s foundational data systems, including end-to-end pipelines, data quality standards, legacy migrations, recovery processes, and documentation. Partner with engineers, analysts, operations, and product teams to establish trusted, scalable data infrastructure. Prioritize high-impact improvements, manage stakeholder needs, define ownership boundaries, and use AI to create increasingly self-healing systems.
