Summer/Fall 2026 internship supporting Level 4 autonomous driving research. Develop, evaluate, and apply multimodal AI models (VLMs, VLAs, LLMs, world models) for data triage, scenario mining, simulation V&V, and safety analysis. Analyze multimodal sensor and simulation data, integrate AI outputs into development pipelines, and communicate findings across U.S. and Japan teams.

Support development, validation, and troubleshooting of OBD diagnostic strategies and engine management calibrations for diesel powertrains. Execute OBD verification, integrate diagnostic software, support regulatory compliance and certification, perform testing and validation, document results, benchmark competitor systems, and collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve diagnostic and calibration issues.

Define and communicate product vision, manage and prioritize the product backlog, create user stories and acceptance criteria, lead Scrum ceremonies, liaise with stakeholders and the development team, oversee testing/debugging, and continuously improve the web-based product.

Support verification and validation of Level 4 autonomous driving systems through data analysis, simulation, and model/algorithm validation. Support systems engineering and safety for the Automated Driving Kit (ADK) and vehicle integration by developing and maintaining requirements, MBSE models, interfaces, and traceability; integrate functional safety, SOTIF, and cybersecurity considerations; coordinate with suppliers and verification teams; define verification methods and evidence for safe deployment.
