Engineering Intern responsible for designing, coding, and operating high-performance services and data-processing pipelines serving hundreds of millions of monthly requests. The role includes collaborating with distributed engineering teams, working with high-availability and latency-sensitive systems, and participating in structured onboarding and mentorship. Candidates should understand operational SLAs, embrace continuous improvement, learn new technologies quickly, and collaborate effectively in an autonomous startup environment.

Build and operate Hiya Hub backend services across their full lifecycle, including planning, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, alert response, and KPI ownership. Support carrier and partner onboarding, troubleshoot system behavior, and communicate across engineering, business, and external partners. The role requires networking and Docker knowledge, strong collaboration, and active use of AI tools. Experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, observability, DevOps, or SRE is advantageous.
