Leads Northeast transportation and warehousing operations, overseeing regional strategy, teams, safety, compliance, budgets, KPIs, process improvement, technology adoption, vendor relationships, and customer service. Drives productivity, profitability, operational efficiency, and alignment with corporate objectives across complex logistics networks.

Identify and qualify prospective customers through outbound prospecting, market research, and lead-generation tools. Build relationships, conduct introductory meetings, deliver solution-based presentations, and respond to inquiries. Collaborate with business development and sales teams to advance opportunities, submit qualified leads, maintain accurate Salesforce records, and provide weekly activity and pipeline reports.

Coordinates domestic and international freight shipments from pickup through delivery. Works with customers, carriers, suppliers, and terminals to schedule transportation, track cargo, negotiate rates, verify charges, manage margins, and resolve service issues. Maintains shipment data in transportation management systems and customer portals, vets carriers, and supports air freight, drayage, and supply chain optimization activities.

Manages accounts receivable records, prepares and sends client invoices, ensures timely payments, resolves billing discrepancies, communicates with clients, and supports month-end closing activities.

Creates and distributes freight invoices through paper, email, web portals, and EDI; verifies billing data and delivery documentation; organizes records; updates customer files; responds to inquiries; researches short-paid invoices with Accounts Receivable; and performs related administrative duties.

Own EDI onboarding, mapping, testing, certification, monitoring, and troubleshooting for transportation and warehousing transactions. Maintain connections through AS2, SFTP, FTP, VAN, and APIs, ensuring accurate data exchange with TMS, WMS, accounting, customers, and trading partners. Document partner specifications and procedures, resolve failed or missing transactions, support scorecards, improve automation and monitoring, and provide IT help desk support. Occasional travel to Texas facilities outside Houston is required.
