Build and maintain Kafka Connect services and streaming data pipelines for Depop’s data platform. Extend the bronze streaming layer, implement data contracts and freshness checks, develop quarantine and alerting systems, support event onboarding and troubleshooting, document technical decisions, and collaborate with senior engineers and teams across data infrastructure, ML, and insights.

Lead the research, design, productionization, and scaling of machine learning models for pricing and shipping optimization. Own high-impact projects, conduct rigorous experiments, apply causal inference and optimization techniques, collaborate with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders, communicate findings, and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities include problem framing, data strategy, deep learning and LLM development, multimodal modeling, deployment, experimentation, evaluation, and production iteration. The role partners with Trust, Policy, and Product teams to build scalable, robust systems in ambiguous and adversarial environments and communicate technical trade-offs and impact.

Build and maintain iOS payment experiences for wallet balances, checkout, withdrawals, refunds, seller onboarding, and tax capture.
