Coordinate day-to-day freight operations: manage customer accounts, solicit and enter loads, schedule pickups/deliveries, dispatch equipment and drivers, track shipments, maintain trailer pools, ensure driver hours compliance, handle driver/customer issues, assist special projects, and travel as needed.

Maintain and monitor driver safety files to ensure compliance with federal/state guidelines. Perform clerical duties, manage communications, administer alcohol and drug testing programs, assist on projects, and support compliance communication to drivers.

Provide administrative support to department and management, including clerical tasks (mail, filing, phones, data entry, copying), appointment scheduling, travel arrangements, recordkeeping, report preparation, handling confidential information, training backups, and completing special projects as assigned.

Provide customer service for a defined account base, coordinate across departments to develop profitable lanes, solicit outbound freight, enter and dispatch loads, create freight bills and EDI info, schedule appointments, monitor loads for service issues, review scorecards, and communicate concerns to operations and sales.

Inspect, diagnose, and repair brake systems, engines, electrical components, transmissions, drive trains, tires, and refrigeration equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, read service manuals and work orders, maintain safety and attendance, and carry out assigned duties using own tools.

Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel tractors, trailers, refrigeration equipment and related systems. Perform preventive maintenance, fluid changes, inspections, DOT and EPA-required services, and document work. Maintain tools, safety gear, and positive workplace communication while carrying out supervisor instructions and other assigned duties.

Answer Risk Management calls to record freight OS&D and exceptions; maintain customer and vendor contact data; process correspondence, payments, and occurrence records; track, secure, redeliver or salvage refused freight; compile reports and spreadsheets; assist with salvage sales and related administrative tasks.

Provide call center support for risk management by taking accident and incident reports, maintaining databases, processing correspondence and payments, escalating serious incidents, coordinating screenings and equipment holds, and tracking reports and records.

Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on brakes, engines, electrical, steering, transmissions, drivetrains, tires, and refrigeration equipment. Conduct preventative maintenance, follow work orders and service manuals, maintain safety and attendance, lift heavy components, and perform other assigned duties while enrolled in a Diesel Technology program.
