Research Intern supporting development of sector-specific emission factors for MSMEs. Responsibilities include designing surveys, collecting and verifying field data, conducting literature reviews, analyzing energy and emissions information, researching environmental regulations, assessing boiler efficiency and fuel consumption, developing cleaner-technology strategies, and assisting with reports, presentations, and workshops.

The Programme Associate will conduct green finance and energy-transition policy research, develop research concepts and publications, analyze policy and financial trends, manage project deliverables, budgets, and reporting, and engage policymakers, corporates, researchers, and other stakeholders. The role also includes presenting research, building networks, supporting leadership and the CEO, coordinating outreach, and mentoring junior researchers.

Conduct power system simulations and techno-economic analyses focused on renewable energy integration, grid flexibility, energy storage, transmission, and power market operations. Analyze grid and market data, develop modeling scenarios, review regulations, and translate findings into policy recommendations. Produce research reports, policy briefs, presentations, and stakeholder inputs while engaging with regulators, load dispatchers, distribution companies, and research organizations.

Edit research publications, reports, articles, explainers, and executive summaries according to CEEW’s style guide and publication SOPs. Improve clarity, coherence, logical flow, and accessibility while correcting grammar, punctuation, spelling, formatting, duplication, and technical jargon. Provide constructive feedback to authors, apply Chicago Manual of Style referencing conventions, stay current with editing best practices, and deliver assignments accurately and on schedule.

Supports Uttar Pradesh clean-air initiatives through field research, stakeholder engagement, air-pollution policy analysis, data collection, quantitative and qualitative research, and evaluation of technical solutions. The role involves tracking clean-air action plans, assessing economic and implementation barriers, developing coordination and enforcement solutions, preparing policy content, and supporting outreach, training, and workshops with government and other stakeholders.

Conduct research on international energy, climate, environmental governance, resource trade, sustainable finance, and international financial institutions. Analyze primary and secondary data, prepare policy memos, issue briefs, reports, and meeting materials, and customize research for government, diplomatic, industry, and multilateral stakeholders. Manage stakeholder relationships, coordinate roundtables and webinars, support donor applications, and contribute to programme strategy and dissemination.

Leads industrial sustainability research focused on decarbonisation, alternative fuels, green hydrogen, biofuels, CCUS, and energy transitions. Develops material-energy balance, techno-economic, emissions, forecasting, and optimisation models; conducts research; publishes policy and technical outputs; manages projects and teams; and engages government, industry, R&D institutions, and international experts. The role supports multiple concurrent initiatives and requires strong communication, analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on clean energy policy, regulation, and markets; develop policy and market solutions; and write reports, briefs, blogs, and opinion pieces. Support program implementation, presentations, events, stakeholder engagement, research requests, and outreach. The role requires collaboration with government and industry stakeholders and strong analytical, writing, communication, and public-speaking skills.

Produce and edit short, engaging videos that communicate CEEW’s sustainability research and initiatives. Responsibilities include conceptualising, scripting, editing raw footage, creating clips from interviews and panels, adding transitions and visual effects, incorporating feedback, and collaborating with the creative team to meet audience and campaign objectives.

Maintains daily accounting records, processes invoices and reimbursements, manages financial files, fixed-asset registers, grants, and statutory compliance. Supports travel expense tracking, audits, budgets, donor reporting, utilization reports, and financial policy implementation. The role requires coordination with HR and administration, accurate bookkeeping, tax compliance knowledge including TDS and TCS, and proficiency with Tally, SAP, Excel, and other office tools.

Conduct research and data analysis on industrial sustainability, decarbonisation, energy efficiency, green hydrogen, and low-carbon technologies. Build data resources and techno-economic feasibility models, track policy and technical developments, prepare reports, blogs, policy briefs, and presentations, and support stakeholder engagement with government, industry, and research institutions. The role also involves quantitative analysis, policy engagement, research networking, and periodic travel within India.

Support CEEW’s Green Odisha Initiative by coordinating with state government departments, identifying opportunities to integrate green economy priorities into policies and budgets, developing departmental action plans, supporting steering committees, tracking results, and engaging policymakers, industry, and civil society. The role also provides day-to-day government support, conducts research and community engagements, collects primary data, and travels to districts as needed.

Lead clean air governance research and institutional-strengthening initiatives across national, state, and city levels. Responsibilities include developing strategies, securing partnerships and funding, managing flagship research projects and multidisciplinary teams, producing policy recommendations and reports, overseeing budgets and deliverables, engaging policymakers and regulators, and representing the programme at conferences and stakeholder forums. Frequent travel is required for field research and stakeholder engagement.

Conduct primary and secondary research on sustainable livelihoods, green value chains, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Frame research questions, collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, and produce reports, presentations, guidelines, and stakeholder materials. Collaborate with program teams and external partners, support training and program design, engage policymakers and industry stakeholders, assist with fundraising, and mentor consultants or interns. Travel within India may be required for meetings and information gathering.

Leads applied quantitative and qualitative research on sustainable food systems, including econometric analysis, impact evaluation, survey design, fieldwork, literature reviews, stakeholder consultations, and research dissemination. The role manages projects independently, develops proposals and budgets, tracks policy and market developments, engages government and partner organizations, mentors junior researchers, and produces reports, policy briefs, publications, and outreach materials.

Conduct technology-focused research on mineral exploration, mining, and processing methods; analyze literature and reports; compile infrastructure and workforce requirements; and gather data on power needs for mining and processing operations. The project examines opportunities for India to increase domestic value addition across the critical mineral value chain.

Leads research, policy engagement, and project implementation to scale distributed renewable energy across Indian states. Responsibilities include analyzing electricity markets, tariffs, regulations, and consumer behavior; developing policy and market solutions; engaging discoms, regulators, governments, developers, donors, and industry; managing projects and stakeholders; conducting quantitative analysis; and producing reports, policy briefs, presentations, and opinion pieces.

Conduct state-level power system modelling and quantitative analysis to assess renewable energy integration. Responsibilities include collecting and processing energy data, building GridPath simulation models, designing dispatch scenarios, analysing model outputs, conducting field visits, reviewing research, and developing policy insights, presentations, briefing notes, and reports. The consultant will also support stakeholder meetings and project implementation related to electricity generation, transmission, and power markets.
