Provides business and project support for Leisure Services and Community Infrastructure Planning. Responsibilities include grant administration, community engagement, stakeholder consultation, project delivery, reporting, research, data analysis, event coordination, and general team administration. The role requires strong organisation, communication, relationship-building, and prioritisation skills while supporting community-focused sport, recreation, and healthy lifestyle initiatives.

Leads the City’s marketing team and strategic corporate and place-based projects from planning through evaluation. Oversees campaigns, brand governance, publications, graphic design, signage, creative services, research, suppliers, budgets, contracts, and marketing workflows. Provides evidence-based advice to senior stakeholders, prioritizes resources, improves service standards, and coordinates with Communications and Digital teams to support community and organisational priorities.

Enforce local laws, respond to community safety concerns, investigate animal-related incidents, conduct patrols, issue parking infringements, educate the community, and support the Animal Care Facility. The role requires field operations across council buildings, parks, reserves, and public spaces, using mobile technology and GPS systems while applying local laws and resolving conflicts professionally.

Establish and lead the City’s Enterprise Portfolio Management Office, developing a consistent project management framework and governance processes. The role will improve portfolio visibility, reporting, assurance, risk management, and project delivery practices while supporting project managers and engaging executive stakeholders. It also involves building organisational project management capability and advancing EPMO maturity.

Leads the City’s Governance function, advising the CEO, Mayor, Councillors, and Executive on statutory, legislative, compliance, and governance matters. Oversees Council and Committee meetings, agendas, minutes, elections, elected-member support, complaints management, legislative reform, citizenship ceremonies, and governance services. Manages a multidisciplinary team of 14 and engages stakeholders to ensure effective decision-making, regulatory compliance, and high-quality support to Council operations.

Provide 24/7 visible community patrols to deter crime, respond to incidents, monitor CCTV and dispatch, enforce local laws, and engage with community and WA Police to improve safety.

Design and draft traffic, transport and parking infrastructure; investigate capital works; prepare construction plans, cost estimates and documentation; assess designs against standards; liaise with stakeholders, contractors and consultants; respond to community enquiries and support construction-phase design advice.
