Independently machines complex prototype surgical instrument components using CNC and manual equipment. Performs setups, interprets drawings and GD&T, selects tooling and fixtures, modifies programs, troubleshoots processes, and provides manufacturability feedback. Supports prototype development through first article, fitting, finishing, inspection, assembly, process documentation, and production handoff. Collaborates with engineers, trains less experienced machinists, and maintains a safe, organized machine shop.

Directs manufacturing operations, production scheduling, inventory, maintenance, safety, quality, and delivery requirements. Develop and maintain quality and inspection plans, PFMEAs, work instructions, and process controls in a manufacturing environment. Support product introductions, validations, audits, MRB activities, nonconformance investigations, CAPAs, customer complaints, and corrective actions. Conduct GR&R, process capability studies, root-cause analysis, SPC, and 8D problem solving. Train employees on quality and metrology practices while driving continuous improvement and compliance with ISO and FDA requirements.

Develop, validate, maintain, and optimize CMM inspection programs for precision-machined components and medical devices. Set up CMM equipment, probes, fixtures, and CAD alignments; interpret drawings and GD&T; perform FAI, validation, Gage R&R, SPC, and measurement analysis; support quality investigations, audits, and regulatory compliance; and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams on dimensional issues and continuous improvement.

Set up and operate CNC and manual machines to produce precision medical device prototypes. Interpret engineering drawings, develop and modify Mastercam programs, inspect parts with precision instruments, troubleshoot machining issues, document processes, and collaborate with engineers on manufacturability while following safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Program, set up, operate and maintain CNC machines to produce prototype parts per customer drawings. Use CAD/CAM software, inspect parts, record dimensions and time, perform preventative maintenance, and follow quality and safety procedures.

Set-up and operate CNC lathes, manage tooling, interpret blueprints, and ensure quality machining of parts. Maintain machine cleanliness.

Leads customer accounts, sales growth, quoting, forecasting, and customer satisfaction for product introductions. Develop and optimize CNC milling processes (vertical and horizontal), create and troubleshoot CNC programs, design fixtures and tooling, support quoting and sales, collaborate with machinists and inspection, improve production methods, and manage process documentation and supplier selection to meet quality and cost goals.

Creates and updates CAD drawings for standard and custom cutting tools, reviews customer orders, researches historical orders, calculates quoted prices, provides technical customer assistance, and supports procedure improvement and traceability efforts while learning from senior engineers.

Set up, operate, and maintain CNC Swiss and manual machines to produce precision parts. Interpret blueprints, load tooling and material, run machine control programs, inspect parts using CMM/DCC-CMM, deburr, document quality data, and perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping. Collaborate with engineers, programmers, inspectors, and maintenance to resolve machining issues.

The Manufacturing Engineer leads initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, implement lean principles, and mentor teams. Responsibilities include analyzing data, championing improvement projects, and supporting new product introductions.
