Manages complex payment reconciliations, chargebacks, reversals, ACH and Check 21 returns, settlement adjustments, and escalated client or banking issues. Ensures regulatory and policy compliance, identifies failed-payment trends, improves payment workflows, and supports operational efficiency. Mentors less experienced team members, contributes to cross-functional initiatives, and uses reporting tools and sound judgment to resolve high-impact payment problems.

Provides strategic finance leadership to venture-backed AI and SaaS startups. Responsibilities include monthly close oversight, budgeting and forecasting, capital planning, treasury management, board reporting, investor updates, fundraising, M&A support, cap table analysis, revenue cycle management, cash flow planning, controls, audit readiness, and advising founders on financial strategy.

Supervise statistical and regulatory reporting for a property and casualty insurance carrier. Lead submissions to regulatory authorities and statistical agencies, interpret reporting requirements, reconcile data, resolve variances, manage UAT, improve processes, maintain procedures, and support new products. Provide technical guidance, train and mentor staff, allocate assignments, coordinate with internal and external partners, and lead ad hoc projects. Occasional travel and seasonal overtime may be required.

Handles high-severity commercial general liability and casualty claims, including coverage analysis, litigation management, investigations, negotiations, reserves, mediations, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include analyzing transaction structures, preparing closing packages, tracking financial statements, processing payments and wires, managing loan activities and exceptions, generating reports, researching complex customer issues, and mentoring junior associates. Requires knowledge of commercial lending products, credit policy, loan administration, regulatory guidelines, and strong organizational, analytical, communication, and customer service skills.

Oversee accounting, payroll, month-end close, revenue recognition, cash management, financial reporting, payroll tax compliance, internal controls, KPI reporting, expense approvals, and finance process improvements.
