Job Title: EBT Settlement and Reconciliation Associate

Location: Continental US, Remote

Pay Rate: $22-$25 per hour, DOE 

Employment Type: Full time

Shift Information: M-F 7am-5pm CST (8 hour shift)

Job Summary: 

The Settlement & Reconciliation Associate is responsible for performing daily settlement activities, bank account reconciliations, ACH and wire payment verification, funding validation, exception research, and financial balancing functions. The ideal candidate possesses strong accounting knowledge, understands debits and credits, has experience with payment processing and banking operations, and demonstrates advanced analytical and Excel skills. Experience with ACH transactions, wire transfers, bank reconciliations, and financial operations is highly preferred.

• Match transactions between system reports, ACH files, and bank statements

• Detail-oriented approach to work, assignments, etc.

• Ability to analyze large volumes of transaction data 

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills 

• Ability to identify trends and root causes

• Ensures accuracy and completeness of data

Required Qualifications: 

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred  or HS Diploma/GED with Equivalent work experience in banking, treasury, payments, or accounting may be accepted

• Microsoft Word -Intermediate required

• 2-5 years of experience in the following: Bank reconciliations, settlement operations, payment processing, cash management and accounting support functions

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience in back-office work in a bank, highly desirable

• Experience in payment services / Government Payments / Prepaid Cards / Banking / ACH files is highly desirable

• Experience with ACH, wire transfers, returns, adjustments, and exceptions preferred

• Microsoft Excel - Intermediate to Advanced required experience with VLOOKUP’s, Pivot tables, SUMIFS, Data validation and reconciliation techniques and ability to work large datasets

• General accounting knowledge and expertise. Understand the accounting impact of Credits, debits, ACH transactions, wire transfers and returned payments
