The Zonal Manager (PWT) is responsible for leading and driving the performance of Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Business Developers (BDs) within an assigned zone.
The Zonal Manager will provide field leadership, monitor team performance, support market development initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure sustainable growth, high productivity, and excellent customer experience across the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Supervision & Performance Management
• Lead weekly performance meetings to review team output, KPIs, and market feedback
• Monitor attendance, deployment, and productivity of BDMs and BDs
• Track daily activities and ensure accountability across all team members
• Identify underperformance and implement corrective actions
2. Field Operations & Market Oversight
• Conduct regular field visits (minimum twice weekly) to validate market realities
• Verify reports submitted by BDMs/BDs against actual field conditions
• Monitor competitor activities, market saturation, and merchant feedback
3. Reporting & Activity Monitoring
• Monitor daily field reports submitted at scheduled intervals (12pm, 3pm, 5pm)
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of accompanying visit reports
• Track onboarding activities and confirm field productivity
4. Issue Resolution & Escalation
• Provide immediate resolution to field challenges where possible
• Escalate recurring or critical issues to management
• Respond promptly to team concerns and operational bottlenecks
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
• Minimum of 4-6 years experience in sales, agency banking, fintech, or field operations
• MUST have prior experience in a leading fintech company
• Willingness to travel and conduct frequent field visits
