Job Description:

   

The WW Transactional Business Operations Manager, role is part of the HPE Networking WW Transactional Sales team.

You will join an international (virtual) team and have the opportunity to engage with both the regional sales teams across the world and global functions (Sales operations, supply chain, finance, marketing, product management...).

In charge of Business Operations for the WW team, you will own the planning & operations and support the team with the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns, tracks and report business and operational metrics versus predetermined goals/ benchmarks.
  • Is the interface of the business with all other functions like Sales Operations, Channel Sales, Supply chain, Pricing Operations, Sales compensation, Finance, Marketing etc.
  • Represents the transactional business in the Readiness annual process including coverage/productivity guidance/KPIs and sales priorities.
  • Supports leadership with the strategic planning and owns the execution of operations and planning, goals, and priorities for the business segment.
  • Is responsible for transactional pricing & promo operations & delegation, supply and demand matching, channel sales integration, L2C projects, Development Funds budget planning, market insights etc.
  • Drive interlock governance and cadence with the Regions and Global stakeholders, to maximize business performance, including business reviews & strategic initiative tracking.
  • Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and participates in cross-functional initiatives.
  • Applies advanced subject matter knowledge (of Transactional business and Channel Sales) to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert.
  • Works on diverse complex operational problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Develops business cases, recommendations, and prioritization frameworks to support executive decision-making.
  • Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.

Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines, in which the company must operate to be successful. Provides highly innovative solutions. Leads large, cross-division projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. Provides mentoring and guidance to employees. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.

Education and Experience:

  • University or Bachelor's degree; advanced degree or MBA preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Typically, 10 to 15 years or more experience in sales, operations, programs or category management.
  • Experience as successful business manager, selling to and through IT-channel partners.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • IT industry, Channel Transactional Sales and SMB/MM customer segment knowledge.
  • Proven SMB end-user sales &/or partner management experience; at Regional or WW (as a preference) or Country level.
  • Strong financial acumen & business management skills.
  • Structured, pragmatic & results driven.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - drive, ability to develop strong collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders in a complex and changing environment, influencing & negotiation, leadership attitude.
  • Strong analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and influence virtual teams.
  • Ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of management and functional disciplines.
