Sonar enables organizations to ship agentic code with confidence. Code creation is abundant, but confidence is scarce. Our core platform, SonarQube, verifies over 750 billion lines of code every day, delivering agentic verification and governance for all code. Trusted by more than 7 million developers and 75% of the Fortune 100, including teams at Nvidia, ServiceNow, Booking.com, Goldman Sachs, AstraZeneca, and Ford Motor Company, Sonar enables organizations to reduce outages, improve security, and lower the cost and risk of agentic software development.
Founded in Geneva and now headquartered in Austin, Texas, Sonar has a global team working across offices and hubs, including Silicon Valley, London, Bochum, Barcelona, Singapore, Tokyo, and the Washington, D.C. area. At Sonar, we’re enabling enterprises to build agentic software factories that can move quickly while maintaining the control, consistency and evidence required to ship with confidence.
Position description
Sonar's website is becoming a bigger driver of pipeline as our Web team scales, and we need someone focused full-time on turning traffic into qualified demand. As Website Conversion & Optimization Manager, you own the site's CRO and testing program end to end: hypotheses, test design, QA, launch, and analysis, plus the broader analytics and organic and content signals that feed it, working directly with our VP, Digital & Web. This is a hands-on role: with no dedicated testing team under you, you'll run experiments yourself as often as you'll direct them, partnering with our SEO Strategist, Lead Web Producer, and engineering team to keep every page fast, findable, and built to convert, and directing outside optimization and testing agency partners rather than building or managing an internal team.
What you will do
Own conversion rate optimization across landing pages, calls-to-action, form flows, and on-site conversational engagement (Qualified), from hypothesis through shipped change.
Own the CRO and testing program end to end: write hypotheses, design and configure A/B and multivariate tests, QA them before launch, monitor them live, and analyze results, partnering with the Lead Web Producer on production support and with Engineering on technical implementation.
Connect individual tests into a cohesive test-and-learn roadmap, sequencing experiments so each one builds on prior results instead of running in isolation.
Own web analytics (GA4 and Mixpanel) and marketing conversion signals, including tracking, attribution, and form and CTA performance, turning data into a prioritized optimization roadmap.
Bring working SEO knowledge to the optimization program, coordinating with the SEO Strategist so technical SEO and conversion work are aligned rather than working at cross purposes on the same pages.
Brief, direct, and review the output of outside optimization and testing agency partners, holding contracted resources accountable to scope, quality, and deadlines.
Drive organic initiatives, including PR, earned media, backlinks, infographics, and influencer organic, in partnership with Corporate Marketing.
Coordinate short-form organic content, such as social posts and short video, with the Social Media team.
Report on experiment results and conversion performance, and communicate the rationale behind test prioritization and roadmap tradeoffs, to the VP, Digital & Web and cross-functional stakeholders in clear, decision-ready terms.
Experience and qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
Have 4+ years of experience in conversion rate optimization, growth marketing, or web optimization, ideally at a B2B SaaS company.
Have hands-on experience owning A/B and multivariate tests end to end, from hypothesis and test build through QA, launch monitoring, statistical analysis, and rollout, not just designing or interpreting tests someone else runs.
Be comfortable operating without a dedicated testing team or engineering support on standby, running and troubleshooting experiments directly when needed.
Have experience building a sequenced test-and-learn roadmap rather than running one-off tests, and explaining the reasoning behind prioritization to leadership.
Be fluent in GA4 and Mixpanel and comfortable turning data into a prioritized test roadmap.
Have working SEO experience, whether technical SEO, on-page optimization, or content SEO, sufficient to keep conversion work aligned with search performance.
Have experience briefing and managing outside agencies or vendors, holding contracted partners accountable to output and deadlines, rather than managing a direct team.
Be comfortable partnering with engineering to scope and prioritize the technical implementation of tests and fixes.
Be a clear communicator who can translate testing results and data into decisions for cross-functional stakeholders.
Nice to have: experience with CMS platforms, tag management, conversational marketing platforms (e.g., Qualified), and B2B or developer-audience websites.
We're intentional about this. We believe the best teams are built in the room together. Three anchor days — Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays — create the collaboration rhythm that makes a hub office worth having.
Candidates need to be genuinely based in the location the role is posted — if that's not where you are today, we're happy to support relocation for the right person.

What We Do
Sonar provides the essential verification layer for the AI-driven development era, ensuring all code—whether human-written or AI-generated—is code you can trust. Today, AI coding tools are generating explosive volumes of code. This has created an "engineering productivity paradox" : faster code writing doesn't automatically lead to faster, safer software delivery. The new bottleneck is verification. Sonar solves this. Integrating code quality and code security into a single platform (SonarQube), Sonar is the foundation for high performance software engineering, analyzing over 750 billion lines of code daily to ensure applications are secure, reliable, and maintainable. As an independent verification platform, Sonar enables organizations to securely develop at the speed of AI. We are driven by a deep belief in our people, a commitment to excellence, and an unwavering dedication to delivery. We operate as a united group where our collective success is the sum of each individual's contributions. Our company culture is driven by the values of CODE: Committed, Obsessed, Deliberate & Effective. This mindset reflects our culture of creativity, collaboration, and pride in the work we do.
