Job Title: VP Finance Strategy

Location: Atlanta GA, West Hartford CT, or NYC

What Is the Role:

The role will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives. This involves analyzing financial data, market trends, and industry benchmarks to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance and profitability.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies in alignment with the company's overall strategic goals.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of financial plans and initiatives.

  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas of improvement and recommending appropriate actions.

  • Assess and mitigate financial risks, developing strategies to optimize financial resources and maximize profitability.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes, providing proactive insights and recommendations to senior management. This includes, building out a Competitor Intelligence Process providing industry insights at the conclusion of each quarterly reporting cycle.

  • Foster a culture of financial excellence, promoting best practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Identifying business improvement opportunities directly, or through others, to improve financial management and reporting

  • Support for the construction and delivery of: Quarterly Business Review Presentations, Quarterly Board Presentations, and Audit Committee Presentations. 

Skills/ Knowledge Required:

  • Have the ability to think critically to develop credible solutions to identified problems through rigorous analytical investigation

  • Have the ability to structure thoughts and ideas and effectively communicate these to senior stakeholders to obtain buy-in

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and Stat Finance including the components of the Income Statement and supporting Balance Sheet

  • Superior presentation, communication and interpersonal skills and ability to apply these to a variety of audiences including the ability to chair and facilitate meetings and workshops

  • Ability to be innovative, creative and problem solve issues to a successful conclusion.

  • Understanding of the issues impacting the Insurance Industry and Regulated Finance Functions and requirements relevant to regulatory responsibilities

Salary Range: 170k-190k

**Please note this position is hybrid and requires two (2) days in office weekly**
