The position requires an understanding of GAAP/STAT reporting and period-ending reporting processes and procedures. The team members will be responsible for preparation of quarterly and annual reports, on STAT & GAAP basis, Schedule B Mortgages Blue Book, Variance reconciliation, and annual statutory financial statements. This team member will also be involved in preparation for the Mortgage Survey. This team member participates in special projects related to process improvements, process flow and system issues to prevent risk of inaccurate reporting.
Job responsibilities include:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, & annual reporting for Real Estate and Mortgages asset class. Reporting includes monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for STAT and GAAP basis.
- Prepare Mortgage Survey for AM Best, Moody and Fitch Survey for quarterly & annual reporting.
- Prepare MD&A Footnote for Real Estate and Real Estate Joint venture & Mortgage Loans.
- Prepare various other reports which are submitted to NAIC regulatory authority.
- Schedule B - Should have experience in reconciling variances at loans level between different sources of bookkeeping.
- Expertise skill set in Alteryx, able to resolve the issue and identify opportunities and create an Alteryx workflow.
- Partner with D&T, Internal Audit and SOX to achieve signoff on quarterly and annual STAT financial statements and disclosures.
- Plan workflows for all deliverables in advance of quarter end.
- Gather information to anticipate and understand investment trends and transactions.
- Complete special requests and ad-hoc reports as requested.
