SUMMARY:

The Treasury Analyst is responsible for forecasting, planning, reporting, and analyzing TexasBank’s financial data. The role develops financial models, supports budgeting and strategic planning, evaluates cash flow, interest rate sensitivity, risk, and investments, and provides management insights while supporting audit, model risk, SOX, and regulatory requirements.


JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Analyze financial performance, market trends, and economic indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting revenue, expenses, cash flow, and other key financial metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather data and provide analysis supporting strategic planning and business decisions.
  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations and communicate key findings to senior management.
  • Conduct scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, risk evaluation, interest rate sensitivity modeling, model validation, decay studies, back-testing, and pre-purchase analysis of investment securities.
  • Assist in developing annual budgets, periodic forecasts, long-term plans, and strategic initiatives, including calculating net interest income and analyzing budget-to-actual and forecast variances.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting support to departments throughout the Bank as needed.
  • Regularly attend Asset-Liability Committee (ALCO) meetings and represent TexasBank in routine meetings related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain policies, procedures, model documentation, and supporting materials for Model Risk, SOX, Internal Audit, External Audit, and regulatory requests.
  • Regularly use financial platforms, banking systems, and analytical software, including A3 and Jack Henry.
  • Stay current on banking industry trends, economic developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in treasury and financial planning and analysis.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support organizational objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in treasury, financial planning and analysis, banking, asset-liability management, or a related financial discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and forecasting techniques.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with financial systems and analytical software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial information and communicate complex financial concepts effectively to financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Banking or financial services industry experience.
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience with asset-liability management, interest rate risk, liquidity, or other bank treasury functions.
  • Experience developing management reporting, dashboards, or other financial reporting solutions.
