For our Category Logistics (Air- and Sea freight), we are looking for a motivated professional who will manage operational escalations in a structured way while also supporting commodity management within Strategic Procurement. The focus is on the Business Areas Advanced Therapies, Diagnostic Imaging and Technology Excellence – especially for system deliveries into the regions as well as component shipments between factories.
Your tasks and responsibilities- You take over the operational escalation management for air and sea freight and ensure a fast, transparent and sustainable resolution of operational deviations (e.g., capacity shortages, delays, short-notice re-planning).
- You support the Commodity Manager in escalation management by ensuring transparent and structured follow‑up of open escalation topics, professional stakeholder communication, and consistent tracking of agreed actions and decisions.
- You support the operational day-to-day business of Commodity Management, including data preparation, creation of status and decision-ready documents, task coordination, alignment preparation and action follow-up.
- You coordinate logistics-related topics for the Business Areas Advanced Therapies, Diagnostic Imaging and Technology Excellence, with a focus on system deliveries into the regions and component shipments between factories.
- You act as an interface to Business Areas/Business Lines, Regions, Siemens AG pooling and external logistics service providers (forwarders), driving solution-oriented collaboration.
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or comparable fields.
- Alternatively, you have completed vocational training in the field of freight forwarding / transport logistics combined with appropriate professional experience.
- You have several years of professional experience in the logistics environment, especially in freight forwarding and transport logistics with a focus on air and sea freight.
- You bring basic skills in procurement; experience in a commodity or category management environment is an advantage.
- You communicate confidently in German and English and enjoy working in an international, intercultural environment; business-fluent in German and English skills, both written and spoken, are a prerequisite.
- You demonstrate a structured, reliable and solution‑oriented working style and keep an overview even in escalation situations.
- You have strong communication and presentation skills and can explain complex topics clearly and in a way that suits the target audience.
- You stand out through initiative, analytical skills, team orientation and a high sense of responsibility.
- You have a solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain and logistics processes.
- You are willing to travel occasionally, both nationally and internationally.
