We are looking for a talented and experienced writer with a solid technical background and native-level English. We need you to write documentation, in-app guides, UX text, error messages and tooltips, plus help to continuously improve our knowledge base. As a Technical Writer at ControlUp, you'll have direct impact on how users experience our products, both in the documentation and the UI.

Responsibilities:
- Document the features for your product areas.
- Collaborate with lots of different teams, including product managers, developers, support, customer success, marketing...pretty much everyone.
- Help manage the process in a task management tool with full visibility. Everyone has a stake in the docs, so you'll get lots of feedback. You'll need to balance requests with time-sensitive work.
- Write in-app guidance and walkthroughs.
- Advocate for the user with good UI text and UX suggestions.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of technical and UX writing experience, preferably for a SaaS-based software company.
- You are not afraid of AI and are comfortable using it to draft documentation and improve text.
- Writing is your passion and your craft. You have native-level English and are an excellent editor.
- You understand UX and can advocate for the user by writing great guidance and UI text.
- You can prioritize projects, meet your deadlines, but also be flexible to align with company priorities.
- You love learning and set aside time for improving your knowledge of new tools, technologies, processes, etc
Nice to have:
- You're familiar with B2B monitoring systems.
- You can work in the command line, understand scripting language, and can find your way among Windows registry keys.
- You're willing to dive into JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
