Job Summary
The System Administrator, SysAdmin, is an IT professional responsible for managing hardware and software of the sever infrastructure, company devices, and software systems as well as providing recommendations to Corporate and hospitality segments. The SysAdmin will proactively troubleshoot and diagnose issues with St. Joe’s business systems, server infrastructure and devices. The System Administrator will also assist other IT staff to conduct end user training in the form of email campaigns and end user education. They will work with St Joe IT staff as needed or in conjunction on certain projects or escalations.
Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions
- Administer core infrastructure services, including active directory, Group Policy, PKI, etc.
- Enforce system-hardening standards and remediate vulnerabilities in accordance with required compliance standards.
- Produce and maintain infrastructure systems documentation.
- Automate recurring administrative task and deployment task using approved tools.
- Manage, optimize and troubleshoot Server software and hardware to maintain strong uptime and efficiency in operation.
- Analyze and align the systems needs to make recommendations for the St Joe environment.
- Maintain and service virtual environments for uptime, security, and availability.
- Maintain and manage system backups according to best practices.
- Assist IT staff in the integration and roll out of software systems and back-end software.
- Maintain current patch management in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage Active Directory and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Handle MDM administration and deployment alongside Technicians.
- Make recommendations on existing systems and software from SME standpoint.
- Perform other departmental duties as may be required by Management
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and hazard-free work environment
- Other duties as assigned
- Performs on-call support duties for emergencies after hour, as needed
Education and Experience
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Microsoft certificates or degree in a computer-related discipline or equivalent experience level.
- Four to five years of experience in Systems Admin role preferred.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience a plus
- Ability to work as a part of a team
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Knowledge of MS servers, Virtualization and Patch Management.
- Technical certifications in computers, Servers, Virtualization, and Databases a plus.
- Time management and organization skills.
- Interpersonal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, type, see, speak and have the full use of hand dexterity
- Occasionally, this position may be required to move equipment weighing up to 60 lbs
- Ability to make hardware connections overhead or under desks
Working Conditions
- Normal office environment, with occasional travel to other office locations

Skills Required

- Ability to move equipment weighing up to 60 pounds and make hardware connections overhead or under desks
