The opportunity
This role supports key sustainability governance, reporting and assurance activities across the enterprise. You will coordinate internal sustainability audit processes and help deliver high-quality external disclosures, working closely with stakeholders across functions, divisions and Group Sustainability.
This is a fixed term opportunity well suited to someone who enjoys project managing complex initiatives, working at pace and bringing clarity, structure and consistency to enterprise‑wide reporting.

Your new role
In this role, you will play a central coordination role across sustainability audit, governance and reporting activities. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will help ensure sustainability disclosures are robust, well managed, compliant and delivered to a high standard.
You will project manage the development of QBE’s Sustainability Impact Report and support other key disclosures, contributing to strong governance, clear stakeholder engagement and high-quality written outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinate evidence and artefacts across the business to support internal sustainability audit activities
Act as the key sustainability point of contact for Internal Audit throughout the audit process
Support delivery of the Sustainability Governance and Reporting team workplan
Project manage the annual Sustainability Impact Report, including timelines, stakeholder inputs and governance approvals
Coordinate contributions for key disclosures, including the Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Manage verification processes for sustainability disclosures to ensure evidence is robust, accurate and auditable
Other Group Sustainability support as needed, e.g. policy monitoring.
About you
You are an organised and commercially minded professional with strong project management capability and excellent stakeholder engagement skills. You bring confidence working across a complex organisation, can manage multiple moving parts, and take pride in producing clear, polished and accurate written outputs.
You are comfortable working under pressure, adapting to changing priorities, and partnering with teams across sustainability, risk, legal and audit.
Key requirements:
Tertiary qualification or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently
Proven stakeholder engagement experience across varied functions and seniority levels
Excellent written communication skills, including editing and proofreading of formal reports
Understanding of audit, assurance, governance or disclosure processes
Experience or working knowledge of sustainability‑related regulatory and compliance requirements (Insurance or Financial Services experience desirable)
