IKEA Industry Älmhult AB contributes with more than 200 committed, down-to-earth and fantastic employees who annually manufacture about 6 million lacquered fronts for furniture, mainly kitchens. We have a modern, automated production situated in Älmhult, the heart of IKEA.

What you will do - A day in the life of an Sustainability Developer
-Develop and lead initiatives that reduces our climate impact. Rethink resources!
- Support and implement IWAY, IKEA way of responsibly procuring products, services, materials, and components. It defines what we expect of suppliers in the IKEA value chain with respect to caring for people and the planet.
- Inspire and train co-workers about energy and climate, chemicals, water, biodiversity and waste.
- Produce monthly reports showing how we are doing in our sustainability work and what we ca do better.
- and of course it´s more to be done , improving our footprint.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role
We are looking for someone how loves turning ideas into actions . Someone who takes the leadership and at the same time enjoys collaborating with many functions. You have the ability to inspire, challenge and support the organization so that more feels involved in the journey towards a more sustainable IKEA. You are fluent in both spoken and written English .
We do think you have some years of previous experience from manufacturing industries. You likely have a degree within Environmental science or Business administration or in other ways acquired equivalent experience . Knowledge in chemicals and workplace safety is a big plus.
