About the Role

We are seeking a business-savvy, technically curious, and commercially minded engineer who enjoys turning market insights into business growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguous environments, enjoys building new programs from the ground up, and wants to influence how onsemi brings system-level solutions to market. You will own the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for system-level solutions, identification of new opportunities, testing innovative approaches, measuring impact, and continuously refining strategy based on market feedback. 

Success in this role requires creativity, technical credibility, business acumen, and execution. The ideal candidate will help shape solution strategy, drive ecosystem engagement, create compelling content, and deliver measurable business impact. In addition to Go to Market strategy, the role includes multiple responsibilities within solutions, including block diagram analysis, performing teardowns, BOM analysis, and understanding and communicating conclusions to segment leads and management.

The successful candidate will combine their technical background with a strong work ethic, driving continuous learning toward understanding systems, business, market trends, marketing and partnerships. Success in this role includes:

  • Driving awareness, ecosystem engagement and adoption of onsemi’s and our partners’ solutions.
  • Identification of market opportunities that others have overlooked. 
  • Creation of innovative promotion and partnership programs. 
  • Development of content and campaigns that generate measurable business impact. 
  • Building relationships across internal and external ecosystems to accelerate solution adoption. 
  • Bringing new ideas, challenging assumptions, and continuously improving how we engage customers.

 


Responsibilities

This multi-faceted role requires working cross-functionally across the SSM team, in addition to onsemi’s product and corporate marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

Go-to-Market Execution

  • Strategize, plan and execute Go to Market tactics associated with SSM roadmaps and strategies.
  • Create unique and impactful content such as white papers, videos and media interviews. 
  • Partner with 3rd parties to create mutually beneficial co-promotional material.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Marketing and SSM to define the target audience and appropriate promotion channels.
  • Analyze the impact of each promotion and derive key insights to implement in subsequent campaigns.
  • Update and involve internal stakeholders on current and future SSM promotions.

Business & Market Analysis

  • Perform market research in support of TAM/SAM analysis, competitive insights and customer requirements. 
  • Utilize market analysis and customer insights to support Go-to-Market planning and campaign development.

Ecosystem Partnerships, Consortia & Reference Designs

  • Engage with 3rd parties, such as partners, contractors, and standards groups, in support of onsemi’s solutions strategy.
  • Develop deep technical understanding of our partners’ value and business models, in addition to developing strong relationships to create fruitful, mutually beneficial engagements.

Market Insight, Teardowns

  • Conduct periodic market studies to understand market technology and business trends
  • Develop market insights to recommend partnerships, highlight competitors and their activity, and recommend appropriate actions
  • Investigate and teardown competitive solutions to understand system architecture and recommend future developments.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductors, electronics systems, product marketing, product management, applications engineering, design engineering, or related functions, or equivalent experience in system design at an original equipment manufacturer in data center, industrial/medical, automotive or aerospace and defense segments.
  • Understanding of analog and power management semiconductors.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience performing market analysis using tools such as Excel, Power BI and other data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively across global and cross-functional teams.

  • Marketing experience, creating content and/or running campaigns.
