The US healthcare system is complex, error-prone, and financially draining. Medical bills and insurance coverage shouldn’t be this hard to navigate. At Granted, we’re building the one solution every American can turn to for help.
Thanks to AI and new regulations, Granted can fight claim denials, correct billing errors, negotiate and lower bills, and make coverage easier to understand—saving people time, money, and stress. Our goal is simple: to be the American’s most trusted advocate and partner to manage their healthcare, and healthcare financial decisions.
🏢 About UsFounded by a former Oscar Health leader, we’re a seed-stage company with $17M in funding. We’re lucky to be backed by the founders and investors at Hugging Face, Rocket Money, Oscar Health, CaseText, Forerunner Ventures, RRE Ventures, and more. We are well-funded and have solid runway.
Bill lowering is the hook. People come to us when they have a bill they can't afford or don't understand. Granted checks it — catches errors, overcharges and denials, secures financial assistance, and negotiates with providers. That earns us the right to be connected to their insurance and their patient data, and from there Granted runs in the background, proactively monitoring every bill to help patients lower and pay what they owe.
🧭 About the RoleWe’re looking for a Strategic Partnerships & Business Development Lead to grow Granted’s distribution through partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem, from benefit brokers, employers, payers and beyond.
This is a foundational hire. You’ll work directly with the CEO to build the partnerships motion from scratch, close pilot deals, and create a repeatable GTM playbook. You’ll also collaborate with our brand and product teams to ensure our partnership materials are world-class and that our value prop is crystal clear.
We’ve launched our first pilot with a large benefit brokers and know the need is real. Now, we need someone with the experience, polish, and drive to move from exploration to exploitation and scaling.
🛠 What You’ll DoBuild & manage the full BD pipeline: Prioritize high-potential verticals (broker networks, employer groups, payers, TPAs, etc.), source and qualify leads, and drive deals forward.
Close new partnerships: Lead complex, high-touch BD cycles (~2-to-12 months), get early wins live, and iterate fast.
Craft GTM narratives: Collaborate with marketing/branding to develop killer pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, and partner onboarding materials.
Develop a repeatable playbook: Build the infrastructure and tools (CRM, sales ops, outreach materials) to scale our channel motion.
Represent Granted externally: Be the face of Granted with partners: credible, consultative, and relentless in your follow-through.
Must-haves:
4–6+ years of experience in healthcare partnerships, biz dev, or strategy
Background in a high-performance environment: top-tier undergrad, MBA, consulting firm, or venture-backed startup
Track record of closing complex, high-value deals
Strong project management skills, you can drive multiple deals forward without dropping the ball
High integrity, low ego, and a desire to build something that matters
Nice-to-haves:
Experience at an early-stage startup
Exposure to employer benefits, digital health, or insurance tech
Network of healthcare systems, brokers, payers, or benefit leaders
You get energy from being fluent in a system most people find opaque — you can talk employer benefits, payer incentives, broker economics, and TPA structures with anyone in the room.
You're comfortable being the one who carries a 6–12 month deal all the way to signature — not just the one who sketches the strategy and hands it off.
You want to build the partnerships motion from zero — picking the verticals, writing the playbook, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the CEO
You're the one who writes the pitch, not just delivers it and you know how to shift your angle mid-meeting when the room tells you to.
You care about the same problem Granted is solving. Medical bills and insurance shouldn't be this confusing or expensive, and you want to be the reason more Americans get access to an advocate that fights for them.

What We Do
Granted is the consumer-first, AI-native product that fights medical bills and helps people navigate health benefits. The U.S. healthcare system is confusing by design. Insurance coverage is opaque, benefits are hard to understand, and medical bills are often wrong. Nearly 40% of bills contain errors or are incorrectly denied, yet most people don’t have the time, expertise, or energy to challenge them or even know where to start. Insurers and providers rely on that confusion. Granted exists to change the balance of power. We use AI to turn healthcare advocacy into a product that works continuously in the background. By connecting directly to a user’s healthcare data, we help people understand their benefits, choose the right care, and fight incorrect bills and claim denials when they occur. Instead of endless phone calls and handoffs, users get clear guidance, fast answers, and an advocate that actually takes action. We go direct to consumers with an affordable product and a free tier accessible to anyone. Granted works for you, not your employer, insurance company, or healthcare providers. We support individuals and families across their entire healthcare journey, no matter their insurer, job changes, or life stage. We’re currently in stealth with strong early user satisfaction and are focused on scaling responsibly. Our goal is simple: help people save time and money, reduce stress, and feel confident navigating a system that too often works against them.
