About Eve
Eve is redefining legal technology for plaintiff law firms, and we're building the team that will take us there. We help firms handle more cases, recover more for clients, and grow with AI that works across every stage of a case, from intake through resolution. The next generation of great plaintiff firms will be AI-Native, and Eve is how they get there. But what makes Eve different isn't just the product. It's how we build it. If you're someone who takes ownership, stays curious, and wants to build AI that's already changing how law is practiced, this is where you belong.
Product-market fit: Eve is trusted by over 1000+ law firms, and we’re growing fast.
Backed by top investors: We’ve raised over $160M from world-class partners including Spark Capital, Andreessen Horowitz(A16z), Menlo Ventures, and Lightspeed.
Built by a world-class team: Engineers, designers, and operators from places like Scale, Meta, Airbnb, Cruise, Square, Rubrik, and Lyft are building Eve from the ground up.
AI-Native from day one: We’re on the bleeding edge of AI, collaborating directly with teams at OpenAI and Anthropic to build best-in-class AI workflows tailored for legal work.
Explosive growth: We are growing 2X revenue Quarter over Quarter.
Eve is looking for a Strategic Finance lead to own variable compensation across the company — most of it in our 100+ person Revenue organization, plus variable bonus plans for the rest of Eve.
Our plans and administration are already in place, and we run commissions in QuotaPath. We need someone to sharpen them: refine what we have, stay ahead of attainment rather than reporting on it after the fact, and think creatively about which levers actually drive the engine.
This is a hands-on role. You'll present to the exec team and run the monthly payout yourself. You'll be part of the Finance team, partner closely with Sales Leadership and RevOps, and be the go-to person for anything variable comp touches.
What you'll do- Own the monthly commission cycle end to end — calculation in QuotaPath, review, approval, payroll hand-off, and disputes
- Refine plan design and quota structures — accelerators, SPIFFs, ramp, payout curves — modeled across attainment scenarios before they go live
- Partner with Sales leadership on quota setting, capacity, territory, and headcount planning
- Track attainment proactively and flag pacing risks early enough to act on
- Recommend incentive levers that move specific outcomes — new logo, expansion, retention — and quantify the cost and expected return of each
- Own design and administration of all variable bonus plans, including metrics, funding, and payout cycles
- Own the variable components of offer and comp letters — OTE, base/variable split, quota, ramp, accelerators, bonus targets — collaborate with People and Recruiting
- Enable hiring managers and the People team on how the plans work and how to talk about OTE with candidates and reps
- Build attainment, cost-of-sales, and plan-effectiveness reporting in Omni and Snowflake, and report total variable comp spend against plan
- Partner with Accounting on the monthly commissions accrual and ASC 606 capitalization
- Work with RevOps to keep HubSpot data clean to calculate against
- Get more out of our ICM platform — deepen configuration, automate manual steps, reduce cycle time
- 6-10+ years in sales compensation, sales finance, or revenue operations at a SaaS or enterprise software company, with meaningful time owning incentive comp directly
- A track record of influencing executive stakeholders, paired with a willingness to stay in the details
- Hands-on plan design experience, including quota setting and capacity modeling for a sales team at scale
- Expert Excel/Google Sheets modeling — scenario models that hold up to scrutiny from a CRO and CFO
- Working knowledge of commissions accounting, including accruals and ASC 606 capitalization
- Working SQL — you pull and validate your own data
- Experience with an ICM platform (QuotaPath, CaptivateIQ, Everstage, Xactly), a CRM as system of record (HubSpot preferred), and a BI tool (Omni, Looker, Tableau)
- Ability to explain plan mechanics to non-finance audiences and enable others to represent them accurately
- A proactive operating style — you surface problems and proposals before you're asked, and can explain a payout to a frustrated AE without escalating it further
- Usage- or consumption-based pricing and how it complicates comp
- Comp design across Sales, Customer Success, and other variable OTE bonus plans
