Our client in the medical equipment supply industry is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and organized Stores Person to manage the day-to-day operations of the company's stores and inventory. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate records of medical equipment, spare parts, consumables, and related inventory while ensuring stock accuracy, compliance with company procedures, and efficient inventory control. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high standards of inventory management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming medical equipment, spare parts, accessories, and consumables against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Ensure all inventory received meets quality standards and report any damaged, expired, or incorrect items immediately.
  • Organize and store inventory safely, ensuring proper labeling, categorization, and easy accessibility.
  • Issue stock to internal departments and customers in accordance with approved requisitions and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by recording all stock receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments within the inventory management system.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and annual physical inventory exercises while investigating and resolving stock discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify management of low stock, slow-moving items, and replenishment requirements.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions for sensitive medical equipment and consumables in line with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the stores always.
  • Prepare inventory reports, stock movement reports, and reconciliation reports as required by management.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement, Logistics, and Sales teams to ensure timely availability and dispatch of inventory.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, packaging, and dispatching goods while ensuring products are securely handled.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory control procedures, and health and safety standards.
  • Safeguard company assets by maintaining proper security and control of inventory.
  • Perform any other store-related duties assigned by management.


Requirements
  • Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Stores Management, Supply Chain Management, Procurement & Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of proven experience in stores or warehouse operations, preferably within the medical equipment, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or related industry.
  • Good understanding of inventory management principles, stock control, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience handling medical equipment, medical consumables, or technical products will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems, ERP systems, or warehouse management software.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and perform stock reconciliations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically fit and capable of safely handling and moving inventory when required.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment to maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and proper storage practices for medical equipment and supplies will be an added advantage.
