Role Overview
The Staff Product Manager is responsible for defining and supporting the Retail Distribution modernization roadmap, driving business process improvements that meet customer and enterprise needs. This role collaborates with a broad set of stakeholders to identify customer needs, understand the solution context, and develop a clear Product Vision, Roadmap, and Business requirements, ensuring business priorities effectively cascade down to the team level.
The Staff Product Manager owns the Epic/Feature product backlog and serves as the ultimate product authority, approving PI and Iteration objectives. This role also requires strong people leadership capabilities, with a focus on mentoring and supporting team members’ career growth and development.
This position is part of the global Retail Distribution (WMS) team and works closely with global product partners to own multiple initiatives and applications aligned with the long‑term product roadmap. The role may include people leadership responsibilities.
What You’ll Do
Define and own the Retail Distribution (WMS) product vision, roadmap, and strategic themes aligned to business outcomes.
Ability to develop people, supporting a small team with coaching, career development, and strong adherence to HR and organizational standards
Partner with Product Managers, stakeholders, and global teams to identify customer needs and generate business value.
Own and prioritize the feature backlog, serving as the final product authority for PI and Iteration objectives.
Bring strategic thinking, strong leadership, and deep product management expertise across the full product‑market lifecycle. You will be the key driver of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable product outcomes—balancing customer value, technical capability, and business viability.
Champions customer value, deeply understands customer and stakeholder needs
Builds and manages strong stakeholder relationships, Define and prioritize enabler work to support seamless execution of business value initiatives.
Actively participate in ART ceremonies and review system demos to ensure alignment with scope and business value.
Identify, track, and manage program risks, feature metrics, and continuous improvement opportunities.
Lead stakeholder and customer engagement, validating solutions and representing business value needs.
Oversee product financials, ROI models, vendor relationships, and support SOWs and RFPs as needed.
What We’re Looking For
12+ years of experience in product management or related roles, including 5+ years as a Product Manager and at least 2+ years of people‑management experience leading and developing high‑performing teams
Flexibility and curiosity to work across multiple products and initiatives, with a strong desire to continuously learn new skills to deliver business value.
Demonstrated success delivering Warehouse Management Solutions (WMS) that optimize inventory flow and speed to stores, using platforms such as Manhattan WMS/Active, SCI, and preferably LM.
Strong executive‑level communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across business, technology, and vendor partners.
Proven ability to translate complex business needs into scalable, customer‑centric product strategies and roadmaps
Experience working in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment, with a strong understanding of PI planning, ART ceremonies, and cross‑team coordination.
Nice to Have
Experience with Manhattan Labor Management (LM).
SAFe Agile PO/PM certification.
