Job summary

We are seeking a Staff Product Designer Contractor to lead the design of scalable, user-centered experiences across DigiCert platforms and products. In this role, you will play a key role in shaping complex workflows, platform capabilities, and foundational user experiences across multiple product areas. You’ll work across product, engineering, and leadership teams to define strategy, influence product direction, and deliver thoughtful, scalable design solutions. This is an opportunity for a designer who thrives in ambiguity, can simplify complex systems, and is passionate about simplifying complex systems through exceptional user experiences.


What you will do

  • Lead the design of end-to-end user experiences for platform capabilities and cross-product features, from discovery through delivery
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define product strategy and translate complex technical concepts into intuitive experiences
  • Conduct and guide user research to uncover customer needs, workflows, and pain points across complex systems and experiences
  • Advocate for user needs, accessibility, usability, and thoughtful design practices across products and platform experiences
  • Develop frameworks, interaction models, and design patterns that scale across platform and product experiences
  • Present design concepts, research insights, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
  • Mentor and provide guidance to other designers, elevating team craft and design quality
  • Drive collaboration across teams to align on user experience vision and execution
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate design effectiveness and iterate on solutions
  • Contribute to and evolve shared design systems, standards, and best practices across the organization

What you will have

  • 7+ years of experience in UX, product, or interaction design
  • Proven experience leading complex, ambiguous projects and delivering end-to-end design solutions
  • Strong proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma and fluent with AI-assisted workflows and using agentic tooling for design processes
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, and usability best practices
  • Experience conducting and synthesizing user research to inform product and design strategy
  • Strong systems thinking skills with experience designing scalable platform services, workflows, and interconnected product experiences
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to stakeholders and leadership
  • Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and leadership

  • Experience working in enterprise or SaaS environments with complex workflows
  • Experience influencing product strategy and contributing to long-term vision
  • Experience designing for platform ecosystems, shared services, or foundational product capabilities used across multiple teams or products
