Alteryx is building the next generation of cloud-native analytics, powered by Live Query. We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to help shape how users interact with analytics running directly on modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and BigQuery.
This role is frontend-heavy and focused on building intuitive, high-performance user experiences for complex, data-driven workflows. You’ll work closely with backend and design partners to make powerful analytics capabilities feel simple and responsive.
What you’ll work on
Design and build frontend features for Live Query workflows and experiences
Own complex UI flows for configuring, running, and interacting with analytics on cloud data platforms
Build responsive, performant, and accessible user interfaces for data-heavy applications
Work closely with backend engineers to define APIs and handle asynchronous, long-running interactions
Drive frontend architecture decisions and improve code quality and maintainability
Review code, mentor engineers, and help raise the frontend engineering bar on the team
What we’re looking for
5+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack software engineering
Strong experience building modern web applications using React and TypeScript
Solid understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimization
Experience working with complex, data-driven UIs and asynchronous workflows
Ability to take ownership of features and communicate technical tradeoffs clearly
Nice to have
Experience collaborating on products that integrate with backend or data services
Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery
Familiarity with design systems, accessibility, and UX best practices
Some full-stack experience or comfort reading backend code
