Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. Full Stack .NET Developer with strong enterprise development experience to design, build, and support scalable, secure, and high-quality systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in .NET / .NET Core, C#, RESTful APIs, microservices-based architectures, Oracle or equivalent relational databases, modern front-end frameworks (React/Angular), and cloud-native deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience in banking, financial services, or fintech domains is highly desirable. The candidate is expected to exhibit strong engineering ownership, apply secure coding practices, and consistently deliver defect-free production software.
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting enterprise-grade full stack applications in production environments using .NET/.NET Core, C#, preferably with microservices architectures (ASP.NET Core, Web API).
- Proven ability to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available systems, including RESTful APIs, distributed services, asynchronous messaging (Kafka/MQ), and resilient, fault-tolerant architectures.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git/GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes, including automated builds, tests, deployments, and environment configuration for cloud-native .NET applications.
- Solid expertise in secure coding and quality engineering, including OWASP practices, automated testing (unit, integration, and API tests), optimized database usage (Oracle or equivalent RDBMS using EF Core/Dapper), and a zero-production-defect mindset.
- Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot complex production issues, analyze logs and metrics, act as a technical escalation point, and collaborate effectively across engineering, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams in distributed systems.
- Experience leveraging AI / LLM tools through effective prompt and context engineering to accelerate code generation, refactoring, debugging, testing, and documentation, while ensuring enterprise-grade security, performance, and code quality standards.
- Proven ability to work in environments requires high availability, reliability, regulatory compliance, and strong engineering governance.
- Experience with Python for automation, scripting, data processing, or tooling
- Working knowledge of Java Spring boot is a great plus.
- Understanding or exposure of Abinitio or SSIS will be an added advantage.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or fintech domains
- Familiarity with security frameworks, access control models, and encryption standards
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) in enterprise or regulated environments
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, or messaging systems (Kafka, MQ, etc.)
- Adherence to enterprise security, compliance, and audit requirements
- Strong ownership of deliverables with a focus on stability, resiliency, and risk mitigation
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness to support production releases, audits, and incident response activities when required
- Commitment to continuous improvement, engineering excellence, and documentation with keen learning skills to keep updated with the industry.
